Favre originally wanted to go to the Vikings, but Green Bay wouldn't allow it.He was nervous about coming to the Jets because he didn't know if he'd fit in.The guy gets stuck with an O-line that you can drive a bus thru and Wide receivers that stink.Due to the fact that defenses have to always be concerned with the pass when he's the quarter back, Coles had some nice big holes to run thru. You give Favre a Donald driver and he'll pick you apart all day long. When the wide outs hear footsteps and drop balls all season long ,what do you expect.

As for the int's , ya some were bad, really bad, but a lot were tips too

With the addition of Favre the Jets became a real contender .when the top five offensive players only score 3 td's in the last 3 games and the defense gets run over, well that's not all Favre's fault. 4-12 to 9-7 that's a big change. With this O-line Peddington would have been on IR at game 4

First off, I am not trying to "own" anyone. Merely defending myself against what I see as accusations that I am a hypocrite.

Neither of us can win an argument over who should or shouldn't have won the MVP because the criteria is completely subjective. I outlined some reasons why Peyton deserved to win and you have outlined some good reasons why it should have been Pennington. I don't think there is a nationwide bias against Pennington, but maybe there is an element of extra support behind Peyton because of his commercials and SNL appearances (although I had thought most found these to be annoying). If Favre had played well on Sunday, Pennington's team would have missed the playoffs. Would he have deserved the MVP then?

I don't understand the joke behind "Sayton". Please enlighten me. Remember I am not an American, so that may explain why I am confused by it.

Finally, maybe you didn't see me blame him for any of the Jets problems this year, but I can assure you there were many occasions when I did (see below), but as a Jets fan I continued to support the team and hope for his performances at the end of the year to be more like some of the great performances we had seen earlier in the season and while he was still with the Packers.

On the flipside, I didn't see you blame any of the Jets problems on anything other than Favre. Again this is where we differed most. I blamed their failings on many factors (including Favre on occasion although, as you say, you missed this), whereas you were only ever prepared to blame it all on Favre.

Off the top of my head, here are some of the occasions where I criticized Favre:

Early in the season I wrote two parodies mocking the fact that some Jets fans were deifying Favre.

After the Chiefs game, I included a mock quote that criticized his performance and made fun of his age.

After the Miami game, I made a post joking that he tried to throw Mangini under the bus, but missed the bus and accidentally threw him under another bus going the other way.

After the Denver game I made fun of him for ignoring the coaching staff and throwing ill-advised interceptions in my South Park parody.

After the Bills game I made another joke about an ill-advised interception in my Star Wars parody and also made fun of the fact that he looked like he was upset when Ellis scored his TD.

After the Tennessee game I made fun of his excessive butt slapping.

After the 49ers game, I made fun of how slow he is.

After he was awful against the Raiders, I remarked that he must be hurt (and was right).
