I_Want_To_Believe.jpgThere’s been a number of bloggers on this site, but few have created the cult following that R in CT has. He’s even beguiled that crafty Erik Boland to linking to his work! He never does that for me! Harrumph!!

With R in CT’s Top Tens last offseason, to his weekly Scout posts during the season, R in CT has done a lot to entertain us on TJB and for that we’re very grateful. So with that in mind, in a semi-bittersweet announcement/plug we proudly announce that R in CT has started a site with some friends that he’s been working on for some time, and he’s officially kicking off this year.

If the phrase “I Want to Believe” means anything to you then you’ll love this site. If not, you’ll still enjoy it all the same. The site is called DamnedCT.com and the site’s tag line is “All that’s weird, unexplained, and unusual in Connecticut.” Some is of a paranormal nature, but plenty is about just funny or odd occurences. It’s explorers and writers take a semi-serious, semi-tongue-in-cheek look at all the things that go bump in the night in their home state.

So join me in thanking R in CT for his hard work here and wishing him well! But don’t worry, he won’t be a stranger around here and hopes to continue blogging on occasion once he gets in his groove.

Hey R in CT, any chance you guys can verify/debunk whether the Jets are in fact truly cursed?

Loved the site. Have since scoured the internet freaking myself out about all of the ghosts and legends of places I frequent. Indiana has a freakin troll legend. Their sites aren’t nearly as nice or user friendly tho. Keep it up.

Now R in CT can confirm that all UFOs spotted hovering over the Jersey swamplands are really just Favre ducks waiting to be picked off.

Seriously, though, I dig the occult and look forward to the site. Thanks R in CT, and good luck.

Good news- Schotty’s no longer a fave for the job it seems…. Don’t know much about Grimm but Ryan and Spags are great choices

Rinky’s previous two blogs were freakin’ awesome so this comes highly recommended (although I haven’t looked at it yet and will do so in a minute).

    Good luck, R!

(Does this mean your placekicking days are over?)

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and thanks to anyone who has taken the time to check out the site. Hopefully you found something interesting even if you’re not from Connecticut! Like TJB, we are trying to have something new up there practically every day, so please check back often.

    Thanks again.

And Bent — NO! As long as the Jets need me, I will be available!
