“I loved to eat.”
– Kris Jenkins
Not exactly ground breaking news from our man Jinx, but the big man takes time to speak with NFL Network via the Team Cam. Jenkins talks about cooking, a good cause, tips fans off to his nuptials next month, Coach Mangini’s firing and much more.
On some of the twists since the season ends, Jenkins supported no one person, but anyone who suits up with him.
“From Thomas Jones to Brett Favre to any of my other teamates, I’m going to support everybody.”
Seeing Jenkins interviewed reminds me after the win in Foxborough this year, I asked Kris Jenkins a pointed question about his sacks at the end of the game. I asked if he could take us through them, to which the man deadpanned “no” … then paused with a blank stare … and then smiled and went through them for me. He’s a good guy and you can see it come through in this interview. Enjoy.
Check it out on NFL.com.

ill tell you what, in those highlights from the pats n titans games, jenkins and the jets defense look incredibly aggressive and…scary actually.
if only we could have kept this going. hopefully next year is an absolute healthy year for jenkins.

Agreed Eddie C.
Nothing more inspiring than to watch the middle of the pocket collapse upon the QB. That kind of disruption seems to elevate the entire defense’s game…… -
Kris Jenkins is without a doubt the most important piece of the Jets Defense. That will the case next season as well when Rex Ryan is at the helm.

the ravens have a lot of key players on defense that are free agents. hopefully he can bring 1 or 2 with them

KRIS JENKINS is the MAN!!

RONNIE,
I think Ray Lewis will re-sign with the Ravens. I can see LB Bart Scott and S Dawon Laundry coming aboard though.

I love Kris Jenkins.
Clip is lengthy and a bit dull in spots, but I found a couple interesting tidbits:
Within the context of saying how much he likes and supports Brett (which seemed very genuine), he does state “he’s getting old”. Pretty telling comment from somone on the team who “supports” him.
Frustrating to me that he wasn’t asked to explain his dropoff in production down stretch. Brett was a trainwreck in my opinion, but Jenkins play hurt us significantly. I have to believe injury is the reason (hoping not conditioning, per his bad rap) but it was never asked.
The more I think about his dropoff, the more I realize that there is NOTHING more important in football than STOPPING THE RUN!
