Kerry Rhodes is Hep to Your Web 2.0 Scene
Kerry Rhodes is getting into the social media world in a big way and has been popping up all over on Twitter the past few days.
Since he began, Rhodes has:
1) Answered questions about from an artist who wanted to paint him
2) Questioned the veracity of the New Zealand party scene
3) Told venerated wine expert Gary Vaynerchuk he’s crazy
4) Given his joking thoughts on the coaching search
5) Gave his thoughts on Eric Mangini as the Jets coach
6) And if I may say, even wondered why XBOX would melt yours truly’s brain.
All and all, he’s off to a rip-roaring start and he looks like he’s having fun. The bottom line is that the whole time people have wondered if he’s the real deal. Once I took a look, I thought it was legit, but there’s been a buzz on Twitter whether it was real or not. Rhodes said the other day he would address it, and address it he did.
God bless Kerry Rhodes. We interviewed Kerry a few years back, so seeing him on Twitter, we were bold enough to ask him for another interview, but this time via Twitter. He has agreed, but like the sly fox he is, he’s eluded us like an underized blocker and with a Mangini-esque, “real soon.”
Want to take this to the next level? Get on Twitter, welcome him to the scene, and then shamelessly beg Kerry to allow TJB to interview him again via Twitter “real soon.”
Make sure you use the phrase “real soon” !!!

I am absolutely blown away by this. The best part about it is if you message him on twitter, he will message you back! He might be the first active Jets player I have ever had any kind of communication with without having to buy a ticket first. Absolutely amazing!
Did you ask him why he played so poorly in 2008?
Forget about stats.
You should have asked him why our Pass D is ranked 29, and how can allow that to happen being a Captain?
Yes, please someone ask him what happened to the secondary this year, and especially him.
I wonder if Ed Reed sends as much time social networking.
uh, *spends* rather.
This would’ve been a lot cooler if it were done by a Jet who actually played worth a damn in ‘08.
I find it awesome that he is on Twitter! Hopefully next season we can tell him what we see and TV and maybe he will take our advice and share it w/ his teammates!!
Thinks positively guys! :)
I knew it was him! I think it is cool he interacts with Jets fans.
he thinks you doubted him, @e_man! :)
Yeah, he did… ;) What can I say, I’m a doubting Thomas! Now I believe. ;)
