Chad is what Chad is and he proved it again this year with Miami. He's a solid, but limited, QB who can win games but doesn't have the extra gear to push the team past good defenses in the playoffs. That's been obvious for several years. The Favre deal was worth the risk. It didn't work out but OK, so what. Would our season been so much better if we had squeached into the playoffs with Chad at QB and then got buried in the wildcard game. Been there, done that. The only issue is that another year has gone by and we still don't know if KC (or Ratliff) is a player. QB is still a question mark for the Nth season in a row but that certainly would still be true if the Farve been never got done.

I think it's funny how people like to say Chad can't throw. Two TD passes in week 17 against us were things of beauty.
08 Jets would not have won the SB with Chad, but they would have beaten 2 out of three of - Raiders, San Fran, Seattle.

If Jets mgmt was smart, which we all doubt, we'd go with an improved D, strong run game, good special teams, and a QB that doesn't turn the ball over. That's a good combo in my mind. Unfortunately, it won't happen. I guarantee you Favre will be back in '09. Guarantee. His ego is just too big to sit at home and watch the NFL move right along without him. He will come back and we will be a pass-first team and we will not be good. Again.

Sorry. I love the NYJ and wish for the best, but the owner and GM are publicly beggin BF to come back. He will. We will suffer for it.

Chad just interviewed with Michael Kay and Mike ask him if he would have made the playoffs Qbing the Jets this season....

Answer: " My history showed that when I am healthy I win games and have made the playoffs 3 times with the Jets"

So the answer is Yes.

Wow and you Guys RAN him out of town!

Chad... You a class act and will always be a TRUE JET in my mind.

Thanks for all the great years.

Here is the latest comments from Brett Favre.....

"I don't feel I have anything else to prove. Do I have to redeem myself for the last five games? No. I could be trying to do that until I'm 60 years old. There is nothing left out there for me from that standpoint. I'm disappointed with the last five games, sure, but I know I did everything I could have.'

I don't think he is comming back.

I still think of the leg-fake he dropped to shuffle into the end zone that time..........hilarious.

I'm glad it's over but let's face it, Chad was the 2nd Best Quarterback this team has ever had at the helm.

Did Chad give the JETS a shot at consistently beating the Brady-led Pats? At least getting Favre was an attempt at competing on a more level playing field in that regard!

I think it's true: Chad was not -- and is not -- good enough to carry a team to the Super Bowl.

But the key word there is "carry." If he doesn't have to be the man, if he can just be a strong part of a strong team, you can win with him. I thought going into the season, before the Favre trade, that with a better defense, a revamped offensive line, and a rejuvenated running game the Jets could win with Chad. I still think so. But we won't know.
