ridinmywave.... thanks for the support on this. You NAILED your explanation. Great job!

I encounter Jet Fans who want other Teams Garbage QB's all the time and it drives me crazy!!!!!

If New England thought like this.... Tom Brady and Matt Cassel would still be unknown back-up QB's somewhere in the NFL and I don't think Matt would be on any NFL team. Remember he was a back-up QB in college.

Joe S.

I was thinkin the same exact thing, why in the hell do some fans have a mentality in which we love snooping around in other peoples garbage as if we are homeless? Why in the hell would we go after derek anderson and delhomme when we have 2 qb's that haven't even gotten a chance to prove themselves?

Learn to make a name for yourself and not off of someone elses garbage, I guess when any team has somone who starts to play garbage, we can count on the jets to pick em up and try and get whatever they have left (favre). Let's give our homegrown treaures a chance to blossom, last one didn't turn out so bad (pennington). Stop lookin for chemistry disruptions, strangers to the team that are average at best. What can delhomme and derek anderson bring to this team that ratliff and possibly clemens aren't capable of? Who cares about past experiences, for delhomme? That's team efforts, he hasn't proved a thing to me AT ALL, and neither has anderson! If anything, haven't some of you fans learned anything from the patriots their developement of cassel? ......or were you the same ones saying we should have went after him if he was a FA? I swear, when some fans go through loosing stretches, they tend to have no spine!

{Mel31602... Reading some of the blogs some of the Panthers fans want Delhomme out of town after one bad game. If for some reason the Panthers do release him I think the Jets should go after him. He has playoff experience and took a team to a Super Bowl a few years ago.}

LISTEN UP JET FANS....... NO MORE RETREAD QBs !!!!!!

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Develope you're own for once!!!!!!!

Develope one you have drated or will Draft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am SICK of the RETREAD QB's.... Their loses!!!!! and their RETREADS for a REASON.... They SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO TEAM with a REAL Franchise QB ever lets that QB go!!!! They let them go because they SUCK or are WASHED UP!!!!!

NO MORE.... THAT IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let the QB's currently on the Jets Battle it out for the Starting job or Draft a new one and develop him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after this season and the rest of jenkins career there is no reason for me to think that he can hold up at nose tackle....i feel like its just putting oto many eggs in one basket, maybe your right about the other lineman giving him no help but thats all we have right now...Ngata is also alot younger than jenkins...but yeah the truth is not even JOE.S knows whos going to be a good coach.

JA,

I understand your conern for kris jenkins health. I also must add that there's no reason to doubt that a man of his stature can't handle the load of playing a NT, ecspecially with better utilization and scheming, like ryan did with Ngata. But I really think it wouldn't have been so stressing on jenkins if useless loads like kenyon coleman were able to create more penetration, but we'll see what happens regarding the coaching and players.

only thing i dont like about the 3-4 is that we rely so much on one player...the nose tackle, this year jenkins broke down and the defense went down with him...we either need more depth at that position or i wouldnt mind a 4-3 change take the load off of jenkins and let him play a role like haynesworth did.

Crystalguns,

Your dead on, I was reading the ny dailynews. They said that from "several"league sources, that schotti is the heavy front runner for the job and that the main reason is tanni would rather a younger inexperienced coach that wouldn't challenge his authority than an older and wiser coach like rex ryan.

But if this is the main factor that goes into this interview and they look past rex ryan for schotti to be their puppet because of their lust for power, ...I am officially done witht his team...

I am a true newyorker and I supprt my teams, but I cannot support a team that is run by a bunch of people who put their ego before the success of their franchise. And that hurts. Tanni and woody can take their PSL's and shove it up their @$$ if they mess this up.

First the knicks and now the jets??....I swear I think some of these team owners and gm's are trying to run us fans outta town.

Superbowl 3 I agree...
I would love to see rex ryan here but he may be too much for Woody and Boy Wonder #1 to handle. I feel like Mike T wants a puppet, he's got to look out for his own a** Which is why I've been saying that I think Schott will be the coach. Also don't they watch film in these interviews? How are Mike Tannenbaum and Woody Johnson going to be able to discuss film with Rex Ryan, C'mon. Can we please get some freakin football people that know what the hell their doing.

"I'll try to get something put together real quick," Ryan joked after the game. "I'm just going to be myself anyway. Hopefully I'll be the guy they want. If not, then that's fine also."

Sounds like a man who is saying yes!!!!!

A wink during the interview and the deal can be done....
Let's hope Woody and Mr. T do not let him get away.
