Freeman's arm is pretty impressive and you have to like his size and athleticism.
Again, I'm not so down on Leftwich in an offense that plays to his strengths. I watched that Skins game and was pleasantly surprised. There's just something about bringing in another very good but not great Marshall QB while young talent goes undeveloped that gives me the willies.

Being a longtime Vols fan I can tell you I have watched , ughh, all of his games and he is not clutch. He injured that pinky playing pick up basketball during the season then said he broke it in practice. He is more of a Bball player like his uncle Danny than a football player. The only reason he started was that his family contributed money to the school. He is not NFL material.

subwayfare, Leftwich's wind up isn't that slow...he's deliberate. Check out Tom Brady or St. Chad. Neither has the quick release of Peyton or Kurt Warner. He does lack mobility, but his legs weren't right coming out of Marshall. I think he may have had enough time off to heal and deal with the arrogance issues. He's played very well as a Steeler and, in the Skins game, ran the offense MUCH better than Big Ben. I'm a big believer in the vertical offense opening the running game. One good thing, Ratliff, KC and Leftwich all have the arm to complete the deep out. Leftwich is fearless in the pocket, we don't know how Ratliff will be under fire and we do know that KC is a bit skittish. So, I'll beat the drum for Leftwich, but Freeman's skill set is real unique. I've posted this before, but a 60 yarder with the flick of the wrist while running left is Elway-esque:

How do you know how Ainge will performe?

I looked at some film of him on the internet. It appears to me that he has size, a strong and accurate arm. 3 of 4 tools that are important in the NFL. He may not be ready for a couple of years as this past year was a wash out for him.

Granted that is all I know about him. I never saw him play in College.

I think Ratliff would win the battle against Clements unless he learned to sit in the pocket longer. His problem in 2007 and in the pre-season was that he looks to bail out of the pocket too soon. Meaning he hates to get hit.

I think the next Jet QB is on the Roster.

Please no Ainge talk when considering viable QB's. I would rather have Rex Grossman than Ainge. I believe a battle between kc and ratliff is best. Ainge should be cut.

A Ryan will get the Jets their next Super Bowl.

How about that!

If they would have hired Buddy Ryan after they strangly fired Walt Michaels instead of hiring Joe Walton.

A Ryan would have won the Jets a 2nd Super Bowl in the 1983 to 1986 range. The sack exchange still had life then. Hess messed that one up.

Will Woody and Mike mess this one up????

Hire Rex Ryan Immediately!

If the Jets hire Rex Ryan they will have come full circle!

Does anyone remember who was the Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach of the 1969 Jets?...yep, Buddy Ryan!

Go Jets!
