Pettine sure seems like a breath of fresh air as DC after Sutton, though to be fair, with mangini’s tight-lipped policy, who knows what Sutton was really like. And if Mangini was holding back Schott, was he doing the same to Sutton? Don’t read this as me wishing Sutton was still DC, I don’t.

i find it ironic that someone who ripps the oc. you would actually call for the signing of Carr? Leftwich? yes woody should have hired you as the OC.

we have to see what KC can do. declare an open competition in camp and have KC and Ratliff battle it out. if another vet like Leftwich or Carr can be obtained for a min contract, then do it and throw him into the mix. more importantaly, they need to get a QB coach that can groom young QBs. the thought of schotty doing this for KC or Ratty scares me.

take a breath, belicheat didn’t leave because he tought woody was a coach killa. He left before even earning anything about woody. An owner kills a coach by not providing what he needs! see new practice complex, not spending to get the type of players the coach says he need, again see last year spending spree, and meddling in the everyday coaching decisions(se Dallas) if the players were underacheavers then it falls on the coach to get those players to live up to their potentials.

I still give the coaches credit for integrating all of the new pieces as well as they did (god knows the Redskins never could) and for what our new staff is saying about Gholston, maybe having him benched wasn’t such a bad idea.

JAGG – you make some good points, but not sure how I feel about “but if you spend enough money you can do almost anything”. Wonder if Daniel Snyder still agrees with you on that? If you add the word “intelligently” between the words “money” and “the”, then I’m on board.

I wanted to see them last year (against a weaker, easier to learn against schedule) and believe that one of them will be able to lead us. How far only time will tell.

I feel as if favre’s speach before the miami game says it all! how can the team get excited and pumped before a huge game when their leader says “if we win we win, if we loose we loose” “lets just play jets football, what ever that may be”…..COME ONNNNN, i want to see someone like drew brees fired up before every game and we need that. Favre is not dedicated enough to this team and it will be a hugee mistake if he comes back.
