  1. Um, people who respect Chad but wanted change got their retribution in Chad’s playoff game.

  2. Cimini is A LOT more gracious towards the coach that led that Jets to 3 playoffs in 5 years (the 2 years he didn’t go was when C-Penn was hurt) than TJB.

  3. Chad may have left the jets, and humiliated them, and made a sucky team look like heroes.
But Byron Leftwich is a total ZERO. He got into the NFL based on sympathy for that stupid game where his OL had to carry him because of a bum ankle (thats still bum, by the way). So he waltzes onto the roster of Jack Del Rio (who also sux), steals the QB job from Garrard, and proceeds to beat the jets in humiliating shut outs twice.(pennington tore his shoulder in one of those losses because Paul Spicer didnt know the whistle blowing meant that the play was over). then leftwich got cut. happy days in atlanta! now he, by chance, lands on a championship team. (OH $***!)

  4. That’s a pretty big overreaction, BigKatFan. Kind of ignorant to say that a team would use a first round pick out of sympathy.

I actually think Leftwich would be a good pickup for the Jets next year. He looked good this year in limited play and has never had the benefit of a good offensive line.

  5. Leftwich was not a prospect only out of sympathy. He was an outstanding college player who looked like a very good pro prospect. That game you are talking about with his playing injured did, in fact, enhance his image as a tough team player, but wasn’t the sole reason he was drafted.

If so, then the guy who decided to lose a finger instead of miss a Division II game this past season will be drafted in the 1st round.
