Bent,

Even better for a quarterback who has learned under the system. His life is set for now just for playing one season.

The point I am trying to make is that Clemens if he is the starter will be behind the rest of the quarterbacks in the AFC EAST!

Fonzie:

Cassel has only been with the Pats 4 years.

Crimson-7:

No, thanks.

LargeBarge,

I am not even basing the fact that Cassel has 7 or 8 years with the same team and is a product of the system and comparing his success to Clemens although some would argue Clemens was "given a shot" by Mangini in 2007 when Pennington went down. I am just saying that Cassel's success was because he was a product of the system under the leadership of Tom Brady and Belicheck just like with Pennington and the young Miami quarterbacks.

LargeBarge,

I mean what separates Clemens from both quarterbacks. Beck has about a year of nfl experience (2007) Henne filled in a couple of times last year in mop up duty. Its all the same I mean its not like Clemens has been on the Jets for say 7 or 8 years (See Cassel) and is a product of the system. They are all inexperienced and to strengthen my argument further PENNINGTON HAS SPENT TIME WITH EACH QUARTERBACK MORE THAN FARVE EVER DID WITH RATLIFF AND CLEMENS!! THIS IS SO HUGE BECAUSE WE SEE IN FRONT OF US NOW BESIDES THE GAME THAT FARVE IS PLAYING WITH THE JETS THE COMPLETE EXPOSURE OF OUR QUARTERBACKS!!! THEY ARE STILL UNPROVEN!!!!

Crimson Se7en

I genarally don't like moving up in the draft, especially for a "Highly Acclaimed" College QB!!! The price usually outweighs the cost, but if the Jets were able too trade up too #3, they "Might" be able too grab Michael Crabtree!!! IMO he's gonna be a stud in this league for many, many years!!! But, that will never happen, unfortunately!!! Instead of moving up in the draft, I would like too see the Jets trade back, and draft Kenny Britt out of Rutgers! We need size, & speed at WR desperatly, and next too Crabtree, Britt's the next best choice!!! He's expected too go in the late 1st, or early 2nd!, but if his combine goes as well as expected, he could climb up ladder, like Gholston did last year!!! I don't know if he would justify the Jets pick at #17, but if we could trade back a few spots, and snag him, I would love it!!!

How about trading Coles and possibly a late draft pick to TEN for Vince Young? Seems like TEN has moved on with Simms and they want Collins back also.

You guys talk about a 3rd down/short yardage back being a must, but what about RB Jehuu Caulcrick... this guy should get some playing time and eventually take over for t-rich... hes a load in the backfield

as for FA they should try to grab bart scott to play along side david harris and in the draft we gotta address the #2 CB spot and a playmaking WR

I think KC deserves a chance to lead the Jets in 09. When he took the reigns in 07, the offensive line was mediocre. To judge him based on his performance in 07 would be unfair. If he struggles behind the revitalized o-line, then it will be time to criticize his pocket presence. He's spent more time with a veteran mentor, had more snaps, and has spent time on the sidelines, which should motivate him to take advantage of his next chance under center. Assuming that he has matured, the Jets should be in great shape with KC leading the offense.

Now that Favre's retirement is official. I would like to see the Jets trade up for Matthew Stafford. It would be hard and costly to move up to the #1 spot,so if Detroit opts to take an OT with the first pick. Then I can totally see us trading up with either KC at #3 (which would probably cost us our pick at #17,our second round pick, and nexts years 1st round pick,in excange the Jets would get the 3rd pick and probably the chiefs 4th round pick. If Kansas City passes on Stafford, then your looking at Green Bay (AGAIN!) who is at pick 9 ahead of the 49ers at 10 which Stafford will not get past the Niners. Or the Jets simply wait on QB and hope a Sanchez or Freeman fall to them. 1 of the 3 quarterbacks I think will be a Jet when its all said and done,no doubt about it in my opinion.

thatnk god this P.OF S. is retiring...now,kc is much better than any of you think...if not for the dropped passes in the baltimore and washington games he would have gone an easy 5-3...not to mention the other 3 games where he had little to no help...i hope he's our QB...and takes us to the playoffs...then i would like to read all the praise for a change...just my thoughts...
