Peter King writes today in his MMQB column that in his conversation with Brett Favre on his retirement that #4 is too loyal to Tannenbaum to try and knife him in the back:
“I foresee getting the impulse to play,” Favre said. “But as good as Mike Tannenbaum has been to me, I could never bring myself to do it. I know I won’t do it. If I did, I’d be putting the Jets in a tough spot, because I know they can’t release me.”
This year, he respects the team he’s retiring from. Last year …
We’ll see King also writes that Favre came back paritally to stick it to Ted Thompson, but that’s not exactly news, he told the beat writers that last summer upon arriving in Hempstead last summer …

as a jets fan, i wanted him to come back. the jets and the nfl will miss him.
Now Jets fans, you’ll all get what you wanted.
Favre retires
The giants own the city again
the jets are irrelevent
newspapers/tv/radio wont talk about us good or bad.
we wont have the a-team broadcasters at any of our games.its not like we won 3 superbowl in a row and favre came and ruined it.
he came into a losing franchise and instilled life into it.
although he did play bad in the last 5 games, you cant blame in only on him.
for me, the season went down in the denver game with the stupid play calling in the bad weather.
in any way, good luck to us with 3 QB’s we know nothing about. -
Breaking News:
Ravens have CUT CB Chris Mccalister
This probably means they will definately resign lewis and maybe also scott.
Mccalister would be perfect here.
He knows the sytem.
He’s a solid CB.
Hopefully he and Ryan have a good relationship and they get this done. -
the ravens just cut Chris Mccalister.
He knows ryan’s system….good fit!

the jets need peppers first
-
peppers doesnt make sense money wise…. plus there are plenty of other teams who have more money to offer.
