As best I can recollect, any speculation that Vick could come to New York started with this article in the Daily News.
The list includes Hall-of-Fame wide receiver James Lofton and former Ravens receivers coach Mike Johnson, who used to be Michael Vick’s position coach in Atlanta – a connection that would fuel speculation on possible interest in Vick if he lands the job.
Since Cimini published this, Henry Ellard has been hired as the Jets WR coach instead of Mike Johnson. Other than that, only other development has been that the Falcons have expressed interest in trading his rights.
Although there’s a real sensation here that’s fun for media types to rile up New Yorkers, the Jets have made it clear they’re not interested and Ryan himself said he’s not thought about Vick at all. The Jets aren’t interested in Vick … at least as a QB.

i got a kick out of atlanta announcing they will “entertain offers” for vick. what do they expect teams to be willing to give? a 2015 7th rounder?

Yeah. The media knows how to beat a dead dog… er… horse.
Vote No On Vick!

Jet fans should just let sleeping dogs lie. We don’t need to fan the NY Media flames.

Yeah right ! and Manny is coming to the Mets….according to the rags…

Atlanta will have to cut him, theres no way any team would be willing to trade for him even if it would only cost the very last pick in the draft

I have to say, that I could not agree with you in 100%, but that’s just my opinion, which could be very wrong.
p.s. You have an awesome template for your blog. Where have you got it from? -
You made many good points there. I did a search about the topic and noticed most people will agree with your blog.

The media likes to eat this stuff up so despite the repeated “No’s” for Vick, the stories are going to keep rolling out until they are near beaten and battered. Oh well, not a priority for New York so nothing to worry about.
