I saw this video 2 days ago.
That’s dumb to say for woody to keep his cash and not sign anybody. Woody needs to sign good players to improve the team
-
I don’tthink Rex can make it anymore plain that he wants to go with our three young QB’s and is not looking to sign any FA QB’s.
It’s going to be great to see who wins and my money says Ainge. Don’t sell this guy short !!!

hank,
it was said that ainge is years away from resembling any type of nfl ready quarterback…
-
so far the jets have cut/let go the following players
Barton, Brett (favre), Brandon (moore), Bowens, Baker, Barret, Brad (kassel)
Hopefully, Brian (thomas) is next.
Brad (Smith) better watch out.
Every person that starts with B (first name or last name) is gone!!!
-
correction- moore is not gone yet

the jets this year have the following picks:
1st round —
2nd round –
3rd round – New Orleans (vilma)
4th round
4th round – washington (kendall)
5th round-
6th round
7th roundthe jets holes are
RG or RT – in 1st 2 roundds of draft
WR – In 1st 2 round of draft
3RD running back (late draft pick)
TE – fairly cheap blocking TE
QB- jets should leave it as is (maybe pick up a veteran optionILB – Scott would be perfect
Safety – If we got a solid CB in FA, move lowrey here
CB – FA signing..plenty of options here
K – Nugent or Feely is fine
P – a must
DE/DT – this should be an asset and not a requirement. This will depend on our cap situation after we fill all our needs. Based on the above, we should be able to fill this up here with a very solid player. -
i think we had to give one of our 4th rd picks to NO for vilma so we only have one i think
-
Ryan is right, those are our picks for this year. I’m a believer in using picks to trade up as much as possible. The likeliness of us keeping all of our 8 draft picks is slim, so whats the point of drafting guys if theyre not gonna make the roster? I say use picks to trade up as much as possible and get better quality players over quantity. It just so happens that Mike Tannenbaum seems to feel the same way as I do.
-
anyone hear bout campbell signin wit NO… now we gotta waste a pick on a blockin TE
-
pk – blocking tight ends can be found all over the place, the jets can sign one for cheap in free agency, or draft one in the later rounds. Nothing to worry about

EddieC:
Although you never know what anyone really brings untill they’re placed in “real time” Erik Ainge shows tons of pocket presence, poise, quick release, scan the field well, abilily for the quick read, great, great study habits ala Pennington, does not give the sacks, poise under presure and is the classic pocket passer. His down side is that he physically breaks down easy. I don’t believe it HE IS A TOUGH HOMBRE.
OH, and did I mention that that he holds the Volts Passing accuracy all time single season school record in front of constant 100,000 crowds? Not bad for a kid that followed Payton Manning, eh?
Like I said, we should not sell him short. Not one, not anyone, includes his name in the QB competition

ryan,
we have two 7th rd picks just so u know, and no 3rd rd pick im pretty sure but not positive
with the favre trade……..we lost a third and picked up a 7th but someone should look that up
but if we got 2 7th rders we can use those to improve depth to our DL and OL with late rd picks or a blocking TE -
o wait my bad u pointed out the vilma and kendall trade. i didnt know that those were for this yr but we still got another 7th i think
-
would it be crazy if the jets signed Vilma this off season?
-
so the jets will have 9 draft picks this year.
they sould definately deal a #3 and the 1st #4 to get into the late 2nd round and grab someone there.

here’s a theory ( although i would hate for it to happen) we don”t sign anybody and woody keeps the cash he shelled out last year
