Ray Ray Not Happy With Bart Scott

by Bassett on February 27th, 2009 at 9:42 am

PFT reports that the Jets Ray Lewis is miffed that he is getting picked second in kickball by the Jets … hopefully in opposition to the rumor that Ray is coming to NY.

As PFT hears it, Lewis is not happy that Scott has selected the Jets for his first free-agent trip.

The problem, we’re told, is that Scott has multiple other options beyond the Jets, and that Lewis doesn’t.

So if the Jets sign Scott, they possibly won’t pursue Lewis.

And … THERE’S your best example of why Ray Lewis is a trainwreck waiting to happen in New York …

ESPN just reported that there is a report that the Jets have signed scott.

wow…..can we please just sign bart and let ray ray join another circus

  3. avatar Mel31602 says:

I still don’t think Lewis would be bad for the Jets, but now that we have Scott there really is no point in getting him

  4. avatar pound4pound says:

Yep. Lewis is an absolute, Grade-A prima donna off the field. If you’ve got strong coaches who can control his emotions a bit, then his on-field contributions are worth it.

PS – does he know how often Bart has saved his butt the past 3 years? Some gratitude…

  5. avatar Chris says:

Good I’m happy Lewis is upset, now let’s keep him out of NY. Cya in Dallas next year Ray.

  6. avatar Tyker says:

so Adam Scheffter is saying on his blog that the jets might possibly be looking at cory ivy from baltimore too? I know bringing in your guys is what most coaches do but damn, scott/lewis/leonhard/ivy that would be a bit overkill…..

  7. avatar Tyker says:

and chris baker just signed with the damn patriots

  8. avatar TJBfan says:

Well when you look at it from a team mate perspective then I would be upset too, especially as the mentor as is in this case.

We were all warming up to ray when it seemed scott was all but resigned so lets try to remember that before bashing him minutes after signing scott.

  9. avatar BaltimoreJets says:

Signing Ray Lewis makes less than no sense to me – honestly.

  10. avatar AKA....Drew says:

Is Lewis kidding me here?? Heis upset that B Scott didnt go visit another team because he’s old

  11. avatar Shady Paz says:

They have already brought him to Belichicks interogation room where Jack Bauer awaits to squeeze out all of Baker’s information….

  12. avatar Electric Ham says:

  17. avatar Gregory Rasputin says:

MR .SCOTT MAY BE A BETTER LONG TERM VISION FOR US…

but…nobody brings that ole black magic to town like Ray.

Mr.Jenkins and Mr.Lewis may be ready for the old home…but gold help the opponents who tried to runs through those rockin’ chairs!

  18. avatar Bobby C says:

Shefter just reported 5 year 40 million for scott signed on sirius sattlelite radio

    Ivy being pursued

  19. avatar ramble914 says:

    Thanks Ham.

  20. avatar Bent says:

That’s more than Pace, but will he get as much in guarantees (21.5m)?

Same stance they took with Faneca, maybe overpaying him slightly but he was their absolute number one priority, so if they make savings elsewhere (RG perhaps?) then it’s acceptable.

  21. avatar Mack says:

wow im shocked that there is not at least one person out there who doesnt want the fur coat in new york.
