I can see it now, Jay Cutler as quarterback of the New York Jets. Give up that first round draft pick and maybe the second and pull the trigger for a young no non-sense quarterback who is the real deal. Its a no brainer. the media and players as well as coach Ryan will keep this gun slinger sain. Do it please! For the love of God, PULL THAT TRIGGER ! Lets go Jets.

I heard someone say not worth it?

NOT WORTH IT?

THIS IS A PRO BOWL QB AT 25. He can be a whimpy as he wants hes a qb. Jets would be lucky if Matt Sanchez dropped to them at 17, and would be luckier if the broncos were dumb enough to actually take the 17th pick for Cutler. Who will have a better career than Sanchez.

Oh Kerry Rhodes doesn't like him? The same Kerry Rhodes who can't make open field tackles, and can only int and sack (individual statistic categories)...that out of context quote means sooooo much.

I think Cutler has been a lot better than solid.

In response to Sackdance, Cutlers 9-12 record isnt much of any indication because its over such a short period of time. The teams that Plummer and Griese were playing on had better O-Lines, better runningbacks/running game, and better defenses. Cutler has every tool you would want in a QB, and its only fair to assume that he would be good in any offense. While I would love to trade for Cutler, I dont think Denver would be crazy enough to ever trade such a talented QB.

I think Jay Cutler is a better QB than either Jake Plummer or Brian Griese. But, look at their numbers in Denver. Jake made the Pro Bowl with Denver and his QB Rating with Denver was 84.3; with Arizona it was 69. Griese also had a Pro Bowl season in Denver and one season he led the NFL in QB Rating at 102.9. So, there's no doubt that Cutler is more physically talented than those guys, but I worry about 2 things with him: 1) will he be as effective in another offense? and 2) Plummer had a 39-15 record with Denver and Griese a 27-24 record...Cutler's is 9-12..so, is Cutler a winner? Or, is he still playing like he was at Vandy...good effort and good stats as the losses pile up. Sorry, but I think he's too risky to pay the huge price it would take to pry him away, unless McDaniels will take KC and a 2nd rounder.

Hahahahaha.... Brett Farve made the Pro Bowl too and ya'll wanted to get rid of him.... But seriously how could we not trade for Cutler if he was available, I like Ratliff but he has not played a single regular season snap, Cutlers been solid...not great but solid..... If you are a run first offense you need a qb who can throw the deep ball to keep the d honest.. Hes 25 y/o and i believe hes got the best arm in the league, every team strives to get a franchise qb so why not trade our 1st for him.... All these mocks have use taking Sanchez..... Pennington was one of the most accurate qbs ever and his arm couldnt cut it in the rough meadowlands winds, what makes you think sanchez can, he doesnt have a "big" arm persay, I think any real jet fan would want this guy... Then again i think Denver would be crazy to deal him and I doubt they will...... Im just saying

I believe if there is anything to him wanting out, someone in the FO will or has picked up the phone already...
I'm not sure we have what it would take to get him in a trade. I know, I'd want him!!!

Osaigai, I dont think Denver is going to trade Cutler in the end. And yes, the Denver front office must be pretty stupid if they were trying to get rid of Cutler for Cassel

If Cutler is or was as good as you guys think, there is no way in the world that Denver would even consider trading him. The reasoning that Josh want's to bring in his guy and thus trade Cutler doesn't really fly because the bottom line is if he doesn't win games, he a gonner. If Cutler is as some have labled him the second best player in the league, then Josh and the Denver Front Office must be even bigger fools for trying to trade a "proven superstar" for Cassel who only has one productive season under his belt. This make no kind of sense.

Cutler is not in the league to be liked, he is in the league to win games for an employer. Reggie Jackson wasn't well liked by the teams he played on, but he won championships and won over those he played with, if you have a chance to pick up Jay Cutler, its a no brainer, give up the first rounder and a 3 rounder and prepare for the playoffs.

Is there any chance Denver would even want to trade with us? We would be giving them one of our unproven backup QB's and at least our round 1 pick this year. I can't see them doing this. The only reason they were willing to trade Cutler was to get a good QB back (Cassel) who McDaniels is familiar with. Unless Cutler really pushes a trade I don't see any way we can get him. I'd love to see it though.
