PFT reported last night that the Jets are keeping up their interest in former Ravens DL Marques Douglas.
Since Marques Douglas was cut by the Baltimore Ravens last week at the launch of the free agent signing period, the New York Jets have demonstrated the most interest in the veteran free agent defensive end, according to a league source.
Douglas has been mentioned in connection with the Jets for almost a week. He might be the replacement for the team’s CJ Mosley (3rd down DL) role on the team.

I want Moseley back. Cheaper, bigger, stronger, younger, faster.

we want mosley!

off topic…..if we sign t.o brett will come out of retirement so fast it will be crazy.
-
good point HOZ, that makes one thousand and TWO REASONS NOT TO SIGN T.O.
-
Mosley was good but not the perfect fit for this offense, bring in Marques, he was a rotation buy in one of the best defenses last year.
-
This defense sorry……….

i rather mosley,he seems like he plays hard and it also seems like he would have more ambition to play hard because he IS younger and he probably still dreams of starting one day…..who’s heart will be more into playing time that’s the question and i think the answer has to be mosely
-
well i would like for the jets to end up with mosely but if he doesnt want to be here than thats his decision so i guess that were gonna have to move on and settle for douglas

You know things are slowing down when we are reduced to Blogging about backups and kickers we DIDN’T sign

Mosely is going to demand a higher contract. He deserves it 100% too. Douglas isnt bad and can bolster Colemans side, which get NO pressure on the qb.

I think that REX RYAN might know a bit more about the player then we do.

The Problem I have with Marques is that he made 2.6 last year, he is on the wrong side of 30, and he is a little small , at 6’2 295. Moseley was 6’2 300, younger and last year he was 400,000. as a free agent this year he will do much better, Jacksonville and Mangini are looking at him
