if we waste the 17th pick on a RB i would be really upset. TJ is a pretty darn good RB and he just needed a line to show it. and my favorite Jet, Leon, isn't a full time guy but hes just as dangerous as any other starter. you give him more touches and hell make things happen we all know that. RB is not a place of need, if you want need, how about a QB (cause Clemens is NOT the answer) or a WR????? please Rex/Tanny dont take a RB at 17.

Kool G Rap doesn't get a quarter of the respect he deserves...

Anyway, I can't believe people are saying take a RB 17... WR and DE are much more pressing needs, RBs are much easier to find outside of the first round, and should TJ go down, Neon Leon and a complementary power back should be able to at least be serviceable.

Unbelievable. We have TWO Pro Bowlers in the backfield and people still want to take a running back in the first round. On top of the fact that we're loaded at the position, this is a weak RB class, and Moreno would've been a second-rounder last year. The wide receivers, on the other hand, look deep. The one guy I don't want is Percy Harvin. Just about anyone else at WR would be fine with me.

thomas jones had a career year last year. he is a good back that jet fans can rely on for another year.

a 1st round pick is not neccesary, but another running back who is capable of carrying a load should an injury occur is.

I like TJ a lot, but getting RB depth in the draft might not be a bad idea. TJ is a great straight-ahead, downhill runner, but he's not very shifty or great at turning the corner. So, he's a good, but not elite back. It is possible that at 17, none of the top backs in the draft will have been taken. The Jets could take Knowshon Moreno, who has great field vision, cuts at full speed as good as any RB that you'll ever see, and sets up blockers as good as any RB that you'll ever see...plus, he has great hands. I'd consider QB or Tyson Jackson at 17, too. But, I'd rather have Knowshon than any WR that could possibly be at 17. And, the only WR that I really like that could be around at 17 is Percy Harvin, who has major question marks as to durability, but has way more "Wildcat" potential than Brad Smith.

Nevermind his criticisms for poor route-running, poor pass-catching and pathetic run-blocking... the hell does that have to do with recievers anyway? right?

As long as he can run straight lines, un-interuppted in his underarmour.

DHB wasn't even a "big thing" at his small program... but now he's going to light the NFL on fire because he can run straight lines fast in underarmour.
