Love the proposed Rolle signing, he is guy who will make QB's pay when we tip passes and stepping in passing lanes in zone coverage. Sheppard and Rolle would be a monumental improvement over Poteat and Drew Coleman. All we have to do is get Cutler and Matt Jones, and the rest will take care of itself!!! (take my last comment with a grain of salt)

Other than a RB or maybe a TE, never expect your offensive guys to contribute immediately. If it happens great, but it's not likely. so the fact that Sanchez aint ready to start doesn't bother me none. He's a better QB than Stafford and eventually we gotta bite the bullet. And Clemens is in the mix anyway.

The bottom line on Sanchez is that he doesn't have enough game experience to excite me at all. I agree that he has the physical tools, but mentally I don't think he is ready. He would be a project and I want a first pick this year that is able to step in and play.

You are probably right about the cost for a second TE.

I started out this year thinking we could trade down or out of the first and get 2 or 3 guys in round 2 and 3 that will add production immediately. WR, RB, DE/L

Britt, McCoy, and that DT that jups out of pools.

Bleed,

2 things, I would say that's too much $ to invest in the TE position. I would pick up a well rounded character guy like Bear Pascoe. And at QB, I still wouldn't pass on Sanchez if he fell. AInge and Ratliff are toss ups. Really so is Clemens. I wouldn't let any of those guys stop me from making a move on Sanchez at 17, especially if we bring in Jones.

I just think a fourth quarterback in the mix would be too much. The competition is great don't get me wrong. It would be nice to have an early resolution to the competition though so we can focus on one starter to get the season rolling. I don't think anyone late in the draft would add that much value.

If we get Jones would anyone argue with the idea of grabbing pettigrew at #17. Think about it. He is a big blocking TE who also has great hands check the combine tapes.

Bleed, I like your thinking. I want Matt Jones on this team. I think we can get a good versatile TE late in the draft. We need a RB that can contribute right away then take over. We need a QB to throw in the mix, nice if it was Sanchez, maybe a late round slleeper like McGee. Go to it. D looks great.

Yo, this is nice but we need some offense man. Can we make some moves on offense? I'm starting to get a little worried.

We need more depth at LB and DT/E. I think more of the pass rush will come from out LB's and DB's, but We need the big guys to be able to consume blockers and stunt all over the place. I believe we can find both of those obvious needs in the mid-to late rounds of the draft. 3, 4 or 5 . First 2 have to go offense. If we walk with a WR, TE or RB who can both make a contirbution this year I will be extremely happy.

Think about out Dime package next year. I said it yesterday. Gonna be a lot of close games next year. Our D will keep us in every game, so hopefully we will be ahead late in most. That means the pass D will have to close games out for us. Rhodes, Leonhard, Revis, Shepherd, Lowery and Rolle. That is sick. I Like everything we have done so far.

Lets go get Matt Jones as well. Taka a little pressure off of us to get a top WR in the draft. He is better then most there anyway.
