I agree that he has the physical tools, but mentally I don't think he is ready. He would be a project and I want a first pick this year that is able to step in and play. You are probably right about the cost for a second TE.

The competition is great don't get me wrong. It would be nice to have an early resolution to the competition though so we can focus on one starter to get the season rolling. I believe we can find both of those obvious needs in the mid-to late rounds of the draft. 3, 4 or 5 . First 2 have to go offense. If we walk with a WR, TE or RB who can both make a contirbution this year I will be extremely happy. Think about out Dime package next year. I said it yesterday. Gonna be a lot of close games next year. Our D will keep us in every game, so hopefully we will be ahead late in most. That means the pass D will have to close games out for us.
