Kerry Rhodes to Beat T.O. to “A Bloody Pulp” & Other Fun Things

The 12 Angry Mascots show went along smoothly at Comix. The satire was hilarious, Matthew Berry was brilliant, and Kerry Rhodes capped off the show with some solid football talk. Rhodes discussed everything from Rex Ryan to Terrell Owens, shared what makes him cry via Twitter, and even brought up his chocolate room.

Before any rumor mills have a chance to spin out of control, Rhodes’ remarks towards T.O. were absolutely meant in good fun. His friendship with Owens was made clear from the onset. But Rhodes did sound very excited for the opportunity to lay him out in two games this upcoming season.

Using the term “bloody pulp” feels so right with the defensive attitude Rex Ryan promises to bring to NY.

There’s a low-quality, grainy excerpt with audio you’ll struggle to hear after the jump. Sorry.

It wouldn’t have been a real comedy show without a couple shots thrown at the quarterback situation, but Rhodes handled it gracefully. He even successfully side-stepped a few Favre questions.

Finally, I definitely suggest you guys keep your eyes open for the next 12 Angry Mascots event. It’s very clever and witty sports satire, and it makes for a great night out on the town. Hopefully more of the Jets are willing to participate in the future.

  1. I am a huge Kerry Rhodes fan….probably my favorite Jet…..but he has never laid anyone out let alone TO….lol

I didnt like his Jay Culter comments this morning either. He didnt like that Culter ran his mouth while kicking our asses? Are you supposed to? Maybe make one play during that Denver debacle Kerry and shutting Culter up instead of crying that you dont like him. When a guy throw for 350 yrds and starts to ruin your season and you cant do anything about it……just keep your mouth shut and move on Kerry

  2. I was also there last night and thought the show was a great time. Kerry was very entertaining and like you said I thought the comment about TO was great. Makes you even more excited for the upcoming season. I also liked when I heard him say that Rex was perfect for the job. Good show too bad he didn’t hang out with the crowd afterwards for some drinks.

  3. Agreed, Greg. I was really hoping to be an annoying fan/reporter and corner him for a TJB shout out! But he vanished fairly quickly.

And I hear you, Drew. Trash talk comes with the game… but Cutler has developed a bad reputation, even before this whole “Trade me or I’ll hold my breath!” fiasco. Players called him a “punk” and things of the sort.

Personally, I love some good trash talk. And he must be good at it if everyone who plays against him hates him for it.

  4. Kerry should stick to playing football. He should also not be commenting on Cutler, a QB who lit up Kerry and the JETS seconday last season.

  5. With Scott back there Rhodes better wake up. Like I said, last year Rohdes was a day late and five yards short when you needed him.
