“A déjà vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix, it happens when they change something.” –Trinity

Apparently, according to Jane McManus’ blog, Damien Woody thinks they just fixed a glitch.

Meanwhile, Erik Boland has an amusing blog post, pitting Jay Cutler against his own words from barely just two weeks ago.

Now fully into his image reclamation, Jay Cutler is saying that he “didn’t want to get traded.” This of course after a March 15th report in which Cutler said exactly the opposite.

Look out for Agent Smith!!!

The one thing, the unknown thing, abut Cutler that bothered me was his personality, or the way he fit into the team—

Lombardi (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/04/diner-morning-news-cutler-watch-day-2/) spoke highly of him today in his blog. Say what you will about Lombardi, but he was in Cutler’s division his entire career, and on his team for one of them. That should make some of us relax a little, no?

Who cares if Cutler has an attitude. There is nov way Rex and Mr Bart Scott would not squash his attitude in the first hour of practice. Cutler is not good he is great, with champion potential. I think the “New Jets” can give him an attitude adjustment ..and a defense that can win games.

i wouldnt go all crazy for cutler.
What i would do is offer up a trade of Harris, this years 2nd rounder, and an escalating pick next year,
We then use our 1st rounder this year to draft malauga who is a beast and will make an immediate impact in the nfl.

Focus on the player, not the personality that the media portrays, again, when the Broncos players skewer him then I will believe that he is a problem, until then it is all heresay.

  6. avatar Freddy Krueger says:

Bob Glauber at Newsday says no to Cutler because he won’t fit into NY and one of these two guys agrees. But the other one makes good points about why the Jets should go after Cutler. I’m so confused.

    Bassett,

I have a question for “Oh Baby! Green goes for Cutler” on the Ny daily news. Wasn’t the last first round draft pick traded straight up was for Doug Jolley in 2005 to the Raiders?

  8. avatar fonzie says:

Why would we try to trade a first round pick for a quarterback whose had health issues? I would love to see our defense pound his fragile body over and over again when we faced the Broncos in a couple years.

  9. avatar Bent says:

Fonzie – Not straight up…they traded their first rounder for the Raiders second rounder and Jolley with a couple of other (lower) picks involved too. Ultimately, the value of picks exchanged for Jolley was a mid third rounder. It wouldn’t have been such a terrible trade if they hadn’t completely messed up their two second rounders (Justin Miller and Nuge).

    Hey Bent
