Buzz: Ainge in Boston?
Nothing confirmed, but the evidence looks like Erik Ainge might be visiting his uncle Danny Ainge in Boston, who is currently recovering from a heart attack.
The team issued a brief statement saying that Ainge, 50, was taken to a Boston hospital but provided few other details.
“Danny Ainge is recovering at Massachusetts General Hospital after having a minor heart attack. He is recovering nicely,” the team said. “Mr. Ainge is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days.”
We hope Danny makes a quick and speedy recovery.
Thanks to Patrick C. for sending this on.

I wish him the best of luck and health, but none to the celtics
haaha I wish the celtics death but Danny a full recovery
Wish them death? That’s not really appropriate.
Get well soon, Danny.
Danny Ainge’s sudden heart attack yesterday wouldn’t explain Erik’s absence for the last two weeks though, would it? Wish Danny and Erik well.
Hopefully the Celts can rally around their ailing GM, even if it means no KG. (Sorry, live just outside the Boston area). Just speculation on my part, but there could have been some underlying stress involving the family leading up to Uncle Danny’s heart attack; this may explain Erik’s absence from the team.
His work situation has been pretty stressful too the last few days, huh? Can’t have helped.
With Erik Ainge, I wonder if we have another Cedzone Houston situation on our hands.
Geez, I remember watching Ange play, it seems like just a few years ago. Im old.
I hope Danny is ok, but honestly I couldn’t care less as to when our 3rd string QB gets to camp. All I want to know is when is Anquon coing to camp and how can we fit him under the cap.
Still dosent explain why a 2nd year 3rd stringer looking to make the team is out of camp for 10 days before this happened.
I have been the rare Ainge supporter since we drafted him last year since i feel he got a raw deal from the UT fans. This absence is annoying.

Obviously you arent a real NY fan….

As I read Ryan, He was there for a week and left for personal reasons. I watched him play for four years at Tennessee . He owned Georgia and Stafford for three. There was only one game after he won the start where he wasn’t the best QB on the field- and that was close. Consider 512 passing attempts and 3 sacks his Sr year — 3500 yds 31 tds and 11 interceptions- he’s played in front of 100,00 plus SEC fans 25 times and you can not stress out anyone who’s had to listen to ROCKY TOP over 5000 times. I’m going to give him a break till I know more.

Correct. I’m a “real” Jets fan AND a Celtics fan from England, but we are only here to talk Jets, so that’s all I do (unless responding to a question or something). I do understand the hate for New England teams, but wishing death on someone is taking things a bit far. I would have commented the same if you said that about the Patriots too.
I hope Danny gets better, I am a Lakers fan so I never liked him on the court. He had talent, just wish Erik took after him and had some too. Cut Erik already, why keep a football player from having a chance to make the roster by keeping Erik on the squad?
Erik will be a starter in the NFL. Perhaps not in media driven NY, but no doubt his talent will prevail.
