Jane is an idiot. I will just say Tish is wrong (he does not get paid to be wrong so there is no reason to be dismissive).

TJ's AFC leading yardage was minimal compared to the NFC leaders (Peterson had more than 400 yards more (meaning TJ had almost a third less) in 2008. Even in 2007, TJ's production would still have been no better than fourth in the league and 200 yards off the pace.

Yet he has already been paid 13.1 million for two years. He got his bucks. He is gone next year. No way at his age do we pay him that much salary. Why throw more money at a guy who has one more year with our team?

Finally, I am so tired of hearing about Pete Kendall and Baker. Folks forgot that Kendall's missed block against the Jints in 2007 on 4th down kept the Jints alive for a playoff berth; without Kendall's ineptitude, the Jints don't have a chance to win the SB. He stunk last year too. And, Baker is not getting his money from the Pats. Tanny would have been happy to offer him the contract he accepted from the Pats. Baker wanted his $9 mil this year from the Jets and he was and is not worth that.

If TJ wants to retire. Let him. Let him find out how much money he can make in a supermarket. He ain't playing anywhere else this coming season because no team will give us a high enough pick to justify letting him walk.

Jane and Tish forgot he and his agent signed the contract he is now miffed with. Boo hoo. He was overpaid for two years. He offered none of that money back. This year, is our bargain.

I have generally been impressed by Jane since she started covering the Jets but this is one of the worst articles I have ever read. Not because I disagree with her but because she is getting facts wrong and seemingly making things up.
She lists Ghoulston as a DE, says that Baker felt alienated during the season even though he was being used enough and over-inflates Jones productivity.
She must be desperate for a story.

Jane is absolutely correct about the TJ situation. Kendall, Baker and now Jones. The consistency lies in being stubborn, arrogant and myopic. What "spell" did LC possess that he always wound up getting his way. What "bupgiss" amount are the Jets being cheap about this time? If Tannenbaum needs a "stimulus" maybe he can look down the road and see that it is his behind who will be the next to be booted out of town. A cap wiz does not make a general manager.

Hoz....

I totally agree. I was not saying that I dont like that he might be a diva I was just saying that he was one....lol

Picking up an extra 3rd woul dbe huge...

We need a WR, RB and OL depth in this draft. Late pick of Bear Pascoe type and I will be very happy!
