Fourth Annual Jets Draft Picks Projection Contest
It’s time for the Fourth Annual TJB draft picks projection contest on thejetsblog.com!
The rules are simple – pick ten players you think the Jets might draft and you score one point for each one that the Jets select. Trades are irrelevant as you do not need to allocate a round to where a certain guy is selected. Obviously this year, the Jets only have six (I think) picks, but they could potentially end up trading down or theoretically could acquire extra picks for someone like Thomas Jones, so you get ten chances. We must accept your first answer and no entries will be accepted once the Jets are on the clock for the first time.
Let’s see if anyone can dethrone the current champion, sth11, who won last year’s contest by correctly projecting one (yes, just one) of the picks and winning the tie breaker. Let’s see if anyone can beat will’s record score of 3 too!
The winner gets our eternal respect (until next year) and bragging rights and perhaps a beer or two if any of us ever meet you.
This year’s tie breaker question is which pick in the draft do you expect Cal Poly WR Ramses Barden to be selected with? Please include your guess with the picks projection.

I have made predictions on the JETS draft choices for 15 or 20 years. But this year I am passing as I am beginning to think that current JETS management is incompetent. It hasn’t been an accident that the JETS have been a failure on the field since 1969. Some of the current JETS PR and other blunders:
1. PSL fees to pay for a stadium none of their fans wanted. No dome on the stadium for inclement weather. At least the Steinbrenner’s paid for their own new stadium.
2. Offering fans the upper deck with no PSLs but having parking for these seats assigned about a mile away from stadium.
3. Scheduling two 2009 home games on Jewish holidays so their Jewish fans can’t attend. This is brilliant PR move. The Giants by the way are away for both of these two holidays. Shows the difference between a class act and a classless act (JETS).
4. Moving training camp out of state so none of their NJ fan base can see the practices. They were embarrassed by the fan reaction to this proposal into offering some training dates in June, when most of their young fans are still in school as a compromise. Some compromise.
5. Drafted bust Gholston in 1st round. And if they draft Freeman or Sanchez, I will become a ex-fan.
