Tanny dismissing trades are a smokescreen I wouldn’t be surprised if Boldin, Campbell or both would be in Jets uniform Monday.
And I really dont listen to wheelhouse or loudmouths after both said the Jets should of gave up picks and Darrelle for Jay Cutler.

Jason Campbell is much better than anyone we have at quarterback. Its not “wasting picks” if we are bringing in a starting QB! And he does fit the Jets ball control style of offense perfectly. Anyone who would rather go into the season with Kellen Clemens than Jason Campbell doesn’t know what they are talking about!

  3. avatar Dylan says:

I agree. Those guys don’t know what they are talking about.

i don’t listen to a word them clowns say.

Gotta make the call to learn about the asking price.
Campbell is still developing, but he has faced tough competition in the NFC East the past few years with very limited weapons (maybe even worse than the Jets). I’d love to see Clemens develop, but Campbell has much more experience and is much taller (6’5″ vs 6’1″). At the right price, you pull the trigger.

I agree Mike. Campbell is more experienced and has improved his game every year so far. He is much more of a sure thing than any QB on the Jets roster. He also dynamic and doesn’t turn the ball over and would fit the Jets ball control offense perfectly. He might not be a team leader like Favre or Pennington, but the Jets have other vets to lead them like Cotchery, Scott, and Rhodes. I would definitely pull the trigger for a 3rd rounder, and even a 2nd rounder if thats what it takes.

Guys, Campbell Smambell. We don’t need a patch on our broken QB situation. We need our future franchise guy, not somebody that is going to squeak the Jets through another year. Campbell is not our QB for the future, and we don’t know that he is better than what we have, and we never will unless these guys play. I would rather go through this year and see if Kellen or Ratliff is our guy than screw around with Jason Campbell for a year. If he was that great, the skins wouldn’t be getting rid of him, and I certainly think Jim Zorn knows QBS.

  8. avatar Harvlis says:

Washington is willing to get rid of Campbell and pick a rookie but, we should jump all over Campbell. That’s smart.

  9. avatar MJ says:

Why would we rush ? If Washington outbids us for Sanchez we should make them sweat and give as little as possible for Campbell.

  10. avatar neveragreatqb says:

why are the jets linked to qbs that teams are dieing to get rid of are we some garbage franchise

  11. avatar Dylan says:

Campbell is a solid QB. I honestly think Washington would make a terrible move drafting Sanzhez. And I agree MJ, we don’t have to offer a high pick since the only other team that would possibly be interested is the Vikes.

    neveragreatqb,
Its a much better option than going into the season with Clemens and Ratliff. If one of our young QBs beat him out, then we wont resign him and he is at least an insurance policy. If Washington drafts a QB, they will be pressured to trade him during the draft, so we could probably get him for a 3rd or 4th round pick. Best case scenario he is a solid starter, worst case scenario he is a great backup who can play in a pinch if Clemens sucks or gets hurt. The small risk is definitely worth the possibly great reward. The Jets cant afford to trade up for Sanchez so thats not gonna happen.
