fonzie – No idea. Maybe he is just going to be reactionary and “wing it” (no pun intended). It’s a risky way to do things, but I guess you can get burned by sticking too rigidly to pre-set philosophies and not being flexible enough too.

I think it’s too early to tell, ultimately, but I’m not going to get too excited about a rookie camp either. I’m just glad nobody got hurt.

I mean why should the new york media get too excited for one minicamp practice with a bunch of players he hasn’t even known yet? The only thing Sanchez is doing is giving the media something to chew on.

Fonz – thanks for the shout out. Let’s just say I’m having a rough week.

It seems that the way Mangini reportedly micro-managed and engineered everything to an almost military level of precision is completely at odds with Ryan’s approach which seems to promote more freedom at camp. I don’t think it’s as black and white as that – Ryan has good abilities with X’s and O’s and Mangini used to do things to inject “fun” into his camps too.

Both have their merits, but I’m not going to make any judgements or proclaimations about which is the more effective method until I’ve seen the team under Ryan in action. We also don’t know what kind of a gameday coach he is going to be.

Woody and Tanny are brilliant business men. First Favre. Then Ryan. Now Sanchez.

I just don’t see Eric “I’m not the Hoodie” Mangini or Kellen “I’m from the Sticks!” Clemens getting a fanbase (who was bamboozled twice — 1. leaving Shea, 2. leaving Hofstra) excited to shell $$ for tickets and PSL’s.

Basset, you’ll have a mancrush on Sanchez by opening day.
