Solid picks . U never know who they contacted and lost out on. Because I would have loved Beckwith for depth but Southerland is a great prospect as well as the 2 NEB DE’s .. The others are solid pickups also Kroul is a guy to keep an eye on. .. Nice Job.. Oh and Conley should win the P job too…I really went on a limb there. :)

  2. avatar FernandoQ says:

I was just gonna write that I forgot E. Cook who WILL make this team he’s a beast!!! Way to beat me to it Hoz!

  3. avatar Pete57 says:

New England just traded for TE Alex Smith from Tampa. The Patriots now have a glut at that position (Ben Watson, Chris Baker, Alex Smith, etc.) Would not be surprised to see Baker back on the Jets before the start of the season.

  4. avatar AKA...Drew says:

Potter, Cook, Conely will make this team

Kroul and Southerland have an outside shot…..

Hopefully one of these OL can make a statement becasue we need some depth…

  5. avatar AL says:

They don’t have a glut, they have depth.

Watson is a free agent at the end of the season.

Plus they are going to change their offense this season to more of what it used to be. Protect Brady from injury and use 2 tight ends as a staple of the offense.

Plus when they are on the goal line now they have 3 tight ends to throw in goal line formations.

We have some excellent picks in here, and it is almost like having out later round draft picks. I really like Jamaal Westerman, people say he is under-sized but i think he might have a good career. Cook is obviously a good choice if he can get his head straight. Zach Potter is probably the cream of the crop, T.J Conley has a lot of potential. Nice job by the scouting department and Mike to get these deals done.

  7. avatar Warren Buffett says:

Pete, they also have David Thomas at TE so it’s Watson,Baker,Smith and Thomas. As Al previously stated Watson has one year left on his contract and If I’m not mistaken Smith has one year left on his contract as well.

Allen Patrick is interesting. ….see if he could put it together..

  11. avatar Pete57 says:

Al, Ne also has Tyson DeVree, Brad Listorti, and David Thomas (thank you Warren). Do you think they will carry all six of these guys? Of course not. They may carry the top 3, which makes David Thomas very interesting. He’s a good player, I believe he was a 3rd round pick of theirs a couple of years ago. If they keep Baker, Thomas would probably be gone.

  12. avatar LeeToon says:

TE A. Gates was a basketball player also. Just something to think about.

  13. avatar Doee says:

saw practice today, wilbur hit the roof with a punt,by far the stronger leg. sanchez is smooth as silk but smaller than I anticipated. holding open the passing lanes are going to vital for us. or we will have to hit quick short patterns and run between the tackles.does anyone know his 40 and shuttle times.alot of young talent the o-line was impressive but has away to go to equal the d line and d-ends. I’m all for rookies with big game experience and proven performance under big game pressure. can,t wait til we see some hitting!!!!!!!!
