Already…. the 2010 mock draft? Why? The 2 1/2 franchise players the Jets drafted this year were not enough for you?

Mock Crap not draft , Eric Berry goes #1

I hate to say it because I know how much crap i got from all you Farve worshipers/wagoneers when I pizzed on Farves parade before it even started last year,… BUT….as a “foreigner” I can not ,for the life of me, stop thinking of FRANCEZ as a MASTER STROKE of business acumen by the owner and his suck-up in orther to sell those PSL’s to the Spanish community ala Mets. I hope for all Jet fans sanity this move wasn’t more PR than football.

You do realize that the NFL is first and foremost a business . . . right? In an alternate universe maybe their business plan is to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in a venture only to sit by and wacth it break even or go down the drain but, in our reality, when you invest money in any kind of business, it is done for the major purpose of turning a profit. If you are not interested in making a profit, then you are most definitely in the wrong arena . . . you should be running a Not for Profit Charity Organization and not an NFL Team.

I was never a big fan of sanchez and am not enarmored with the pick however, from both the business and team building aspects, this will indeed be a “MASTER STROKE of business acumen by the owner and his suck-up” if Sanchez lives up to the hype. There is nothing wrong with having the best of both worlds. We as fans can’t fault the team for taking a chance to hopefully improve the organization. It’s like the saying goes . . . nothing ventured, nothing gained. The draft is a crap shoot anyway.

As fans, we should all hope this pans out. I hope he turns into a stud QB holding down that position for the next ten years at least thus, enabling us to focus on other positions of need on the team.

You said: “You do realize that the NFL is first and foremost a business . . . right?”
