New team owner Stephen Ross remarks to the NFL Network on his friendship and collaboration with Buffett that “we talked about lifestyle and what we’re trying to create here and it didn’t take a lot of convincing if you know what I mean.”

I hold out for this, Ross tried to buy the Jets when they were for sale but was outbid by Woody Johnson. The Dolphins were his second choice.

You cant name a stadium that a team called the dolphins plays in after the dolphins rival sea animal the shark (which is obviously alot cooler and more intimidating then a dolphin) One animal people pay to swim with and kiss on vacations and the other eats people and has razor sharp teeth……

Lets face it, the Fins have a horrible fan base. They never sell out a game. You can get playoff tickets on game day!
One Miami fan I used to argue with on an old AOL blog claimed it’s because the weather is so good! He felt it gave all the locals too many other options for entertainment. The fact that Jet fans have to sit outdoors in miserable weather, (as I did for 22 years), didn’t impress him.
Ross’ desperation to increase said fan base comes as no surprise.
I will be shocked if it actually works though. They just don’t have enough fans.

Reason #564 to hate the Fins. No matter how good the Pats have been the last 8 yrs, I still want to crush Miami more than any other opponent.
