Leon is a must if we bring any other RB to the table besides TJ;
Even though i do not want any other RB to sign besides Leon, If we do sign just TJ and Shonn i think we could get by.
Best case scenario is TJ & Leon both sign; Shonn signs on time and our offense goes to work as human battering rams.
Bottom line is 2/3 must sign and report to camp on time......

cbiscuit, you're right, I should have said for salary reasons LJ will be cut because he's due a lot of money this season. KC might not want to pay such big $$ to guy that isn't in their long-term plans.

I wish everybody would stop trying to get rid of TJ. Tanny needs to work things out and get TJ back on course. Our offense has enough question marks, without wondering who will be our starting back.

I like LJ as well, but if they cut him it will be due to Pioli & co.'s intolerance of the off-the-field stuff, not cap space. KC is something like $30M under.

My replacement idea is Larry Johnson. There's every indication that KC will cut him for cap reasons soon. He showed flashes of his old form last year and might still have a couple of peak seasons left. He had a 4.5 YPC with KC's bad OL and he lit up the Fins last year. If he's healthy, he a quality big back.

I like it. Take a wait and see if Greene can handle the load, I have every confidence he can. Then trade TJ for a 2nd or 3rd. Forget the receiver cause we won't have the cap room after having to pay Leon and pay Sanchez. Use Deuce to spell Greene. Great! We need to start getting something in return for our players. Not just releasing them.

I like this post. I think it makes a great story. We get to start Greene (Rookie with little tread on tires and great decision making with BURST), Pay LW (Flat-out the best off. Playmaker in the AFC), and Drop The Deuce on Third-and-2-1-Goal! (Aging vet looking for the ring). Plus we've got a Wildcard with Second-year man Woodhead (He gives Good Uhhhh YAC). If we can negotiate anything in the way of either a WR or OLB/DE for Jones, we should do it! I'd prefer a Def. trade. I still believe Marvelous Marvin is still the sticky-fingered Vet we need. We keep hearing about our "group of young, talented recievers" so please tell me who would be a better teacher than a SUPER-BOWL ALL-PRO Football Catching Machine? Seriously, for years I thought he was a robot invented by the NFL to make Peyton a great QB. Prove me wrong.

Edge has more versatility than Duece. Also Edge should have never got away from the zone blocking he had with the colts..Edge could really make people miss in small spaces. The Jets incorporate zone blocking at times; Edge is overall better with catching, blocking, etc. Arizona brought the Pitt offensive philosophy in terms of running the ball, but their offensive line wasn't built to do that.
