Harper was the biggest little guy we've ever had.

And..., I wonder if Fred Baxter has anything left in his aging tank? :-) Boy, what I wouldn't give to have this franchise find today's version of Baxter. He's exactly what we need right now, in so many ways.

Drew I'm with you on McMillian. He was my favorit jet growing up, I played safety as well in Pop I actually almost fought a kid for 22. He was sick...8 picks as a rookie.

Thanks Bent..... I remembered something like that. I know he couldnt tackle a statue but i loved that guy...

Giving Marino the finger is even better than the entire bench

Drew:

"Marino feels the frustration of losing more deeply than most. His fire burned out of control briefly in that game earlier this season against the Jets, when safety Erik McMillan intercepted one of his passes and ran past him for a TD. Marino yelled obscenities at McMillan, who responded by giving Marino the finger."

McMillan was an incredible playmaker for a couple of years back in 1988-91.

That's because according to Jets Confidential Mangini never let former players get too close to practice for fear of leaks. Now that Ryan is running things he clearly wants to make things more open

This is great to see. I've always felt that the Jets haven't had enough former player involvement. The Giants and other teams seem to be closer. It would be nice to generate more of a family and perhaps some support.

Maybe someone can confirm this but didnt McMillian give the Dolphin bench the middle finger while returning an INT for a TD?

My dad told me that when I was a kid and loved him even more becasue of that. I didnt care if he ever blew a coverage or couldnt tackle...

Erik McMillan was my favorite Jet when I was a kid. I played safety in Pop Warner and I loved his game. Plus...he was the only Pro Bolwer for our squad in the late 80's and early 90's.

Funny I actually just met Baxter at my boys gym in Moorestown NJ. Seem slike a really good dude.

Glad to see the troops making there way back to jets camp...
