The Miami Herald is reporting that Plax wants to play in South Florida, at least according to reports. Plax has a South Beach home, so it would make sense that the receiver would want to play in a place that he clearly enjoys. The report also notes that the Jets and Bucs are interested in Plax’s services.
No word on whether or not the Parcells-led Dolphins would consider bringing in the receiver. My thought is that if Parcells thinks he’s talented enough, they’ll do it. Otherwise, they won’t deem him worth the headache.
Thanks to Jason at NYJetsCap.com for the heads up.

They also have much more relaxed gun laws in Fla., so he can shoot himself to his heart’s content without repercussions.

It makes sense on Plax’s part. He hates coming up North in the winters to train but I’m with Harlan on this one….Reeks of agent leak to generate interest…
The agent knows he is at the mercy of the teams with Plax’s contract at this point…. the more interest the better chance of him getting a decent deal

^^^haha

If he signs with the Dolphins, he better be prepared for jail time. All the politicians will love making an out-of-town athlete an example.

I am still not sure why we care….. I know he is tall and we need WR help, but he is a piece of garbage ! We will find another WR. We can also find other ways to score. I just don’t think you make a play on a guy like this.
It’s not like he is going to skip the clubs. He’ll be out with his “boys” again shooting themselves, making it rain and driving drunk.
Forget this guy…..let him be a fish !

if i were plax i would go to miami if they want me.
1) stays away from the new york media
2) stays away from the ‘scene of the crime’
3) wont be in the same locker room as he was before
4) his home is in miami
5) they have a legit QB
6) As someone above said, they have more lenient gun laws. -
Let’s hope Arrelious Benn has an off year and falls to us in the 2010 draft
-
the jets is the best place for him as he will be the feature wr in this offense.

I think this is agent talk.
Since Parcells knows the Jets are interested, he will not dispute the information because it could raise the Jets’ cost, hurting a Fish’ division rival.
But, I assume the guy who did not want TO and left because the owner insisted on that and other things, will not want another self- absorbed WR who is not as great as his self-conceit.
