Newws: Yesterday’s Practice Has Yet Another Collision

Lisa Zimmerman writes that yesterday’s practice involved yet another collision. This time between player Ahmad Carroll and a coach, Dennis Thurman.

Practice itself offered up yet another weird collision. Ahmad Carroll, covering wide receiver Paul Raymond on a corner route slammed into secondary coach Dennis Thurman who, inexplicably, was standing in the middle of the pattern and didn’t move out of the way fast enough. Thurman made the most of his moment, arms and legs spread wide as he lay prostrate on the ground. In typical Thurman style, he then got up laughing.

Glad to see that Thurman was OK, but this is now at least the third or fourth collision so far this offseason. If I remember, I feel like Kenwin Cummings was involved in two, and then Jim Leonhard last week hitting David Harris and now this one with Ahmad Carroll.

Maybe we’re just hearing about it more because the practices are more open than they have been in years past, but I just don’t know what to make of it.

  1. I guess this is Rex’s definition of attacking. We hit everyone at all times….

Seriously get some organization in camp fellas. We are going to get someone killed.

Maybe Rex and the staff should take a penalty lap for being careless…..lol

  2. My God! This better stop. Football players actually hitting each other.

    Whoa Nellie.

    h

  3. In Rex system everyone needs to be able to give a hit and take a hit. Even you coaches!

  4. This is the price you pay for fame. Impossible to “fly arround” and stop in mid air, I think!?

  5. As long as once the games start the collisions are between our defensive players and their offensive players.

Good job Justin Miller and Abram Elam are gone, with their propensity to hit the wrong person we’d probably have half the team out injured.

  6. WAY TO GO REX!!! ALL RIGHT BUDDY BOY!!! YOU ARE DOING A FINE JOB!!!

  7. at least we know our boys can hit now
