Daily Links: Happy Birthday Dad Edition
Posted on June 6th, 2009 by Corey Griffin
Today, June 6th, is the birthday of the man responsible for my birth and my curse (as a Jets fan). Still, after all the games he’s brought me to, tailgates he’s bought food for, and time he spent listening to my rants and raves, I owe him at least a salute. After all, without him, who knows who your weekend editor would be. So, Happy birthday, Dad.
- Not sure how many of you caught it, but Chad Ochocinco’s appearance on NFL Network’s Total Access was just awesome. Just phenomenal stuff.
- Some guys from the Midwest is still retired, so says his agent.
- As if the Colts haven’t had enough offseason problems with the loss of Tom Moore, Howard Mudd and Tony Dungy, now Adam Vinatieri had surgery. I know, you’re all heartbroken. (On a side note, what’s with all these players waiting until June to have surgery? Hey, Mr. Westbrook, HAVE IT AFTER THE SEASON!)
- So, I can’t figure out that tricky “embedding video” thing all you kids are doing, but here’s a link to a Mark Sanchez video from the Topps photo shoot.
- David Clowney is hosting an all-star football camp for kids and parents down in Florida.

I would like to note that Mr. Westbrook did have surgery as soon as the season ended, knee surgery.
Found this in a yahoo news article
“This is the second offseason surgery for Westbrook, who also had his left knee cleaned out shortly after the Eagles lost to Arizona in the NFC championship game.
He experienced pain in the ankle while rehabbing the knee.”
