I feel ridiculous commenting about a punter at this point, but Reggie Hodges is a disaster. why is he even being invited to compete. we’ve seen him perform. he’s not good…at all.
I don’t get the Hodges hate. What did he do that was so bad? Statistically he was pretty good and although he had a few shanks, what punter doesn’t? His net average was very good in spite of those shanks.
In case anyone was wondering, Namath’s 1965 contract of $427,000 for 3 years is worth $2,877,186.22 in 2009 dollars. Namath’s contract was, at the time, the richest ever for a pro football player. Now, James Dearth makes almost as much per season. Sign of the times…
This from MS after signing his contract:
“This is just the beginning,” Sanchez said Wednesday with a big smile. “I’ll be working everyday to justify this contract.”
I like this kid already!
