Dustin Keller Avoids Pit Bull Attack

By Bassett on 15. Jun, 2009

Yesterday as I sat down to grab a late lunch at a churrascaria I was stunned to see this series of tweets from Jet Dustin Keller about a near scrape with a pit bull in Brooklyn.

Walking in Brooklyn and was attacked by a vicious stray pitbull that was foaming at the mouth..I jumped on a tall fence to avoid the mauling

And the only reason I say it was stray is because it broke free from it’s owner..and I am not stretching the truth one bit..very vicious dog

But don’t worry I’m fine..I just don’t like pitbulls as much anymore..has anybody else been the victim of an attack like mine? LOL

Yikes. Glad to hear he was OK. And maybe it’s some grim humor, but the first thing I could think of was the video of him at the NFL Combine and his 38 inch vertical and his 4.5 40 yard dash time. The truth is, that dog didn’t stand a chance. Maybe some day when Dustin’s long (and many ringed career) is over, he can become the Neo of letter carriers in the USPS.

Why would he be walking in Brooklyn when he can roam the streets of Madison or Morristown and not get attacked?

I have to been to Brooklyn and it is an awful place. It is a third world county. Dustin Keller needs to keep his valuable hands out of that horrible borough with its horrific crime rates and horrible hygiene. He should also stay away from the Bronx, northern Staten Island, Manhattan above Central Park, and most of Queens. And these are just the places within New York City to avoid!

His favorite restaurant Peter Lugars is in Brooklyn where he was attacked folks.I happen to love going to Peter Lugars myself.

Gauray Ahuja, maybe your sissy ass should avoid the places you mentioned but Dustin clearly does not mind being around the heart of the city. Let me guess you suggest the VIllage and SoHo area right (fruit cake).

Geez, I lived in Brooklyn. In Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens or Park Slope, the only problem you’ll have during the day is getting your foot run over by baby carriages. A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with the wife and kids. In the rose garden, you can get stung by a bee. Brooklyn’s a great borough with a lot to offer, sure there’s bad neighborhoods, but where Peter Luger’s is has a huge population of Hasidic Jews, who are not known for being dangerous folks. Plus, Brooklyn’s home to Farrell’s, one of the great bars in NYC.

One of my regrets as a Jets fan will always be that my beloved team followed the Giants to the swamps of New Jersey. If you are scared of Brooklyn then we don’t want you here anyway.
