Take a look a and see who had a better O-Line man-by-man according to KC Joyner last season. I still think that the Jets need to really be concerned about their depth. [Fifth Down]

Artie Lange is awesome.
I’m concerned about the O-line depth, too. An injury or two and this line can go from above average to bush league. And when you spend a bunch of picks and a chunk of change on a young franchise QB, you should take really, really good care of him.
Not sure if Joyner’s analysis takes into account guards’ ability to pull. That may undervalue Faneca and Snee’s run blocking value.
Very few teams have quality depth at the OL. Hopefully some of our youngsters will be up to the task if called upon.
Yeah we need some serious help with depth at O-line, I think if even one guy goes down it could throw it into shambles. However was anyone else as happy as me that Joe Bucks show is a complete and utter failure? I mean Farve and Buck in the same room? The smug cloud must have been enormous.
The show was a disaster …… until Artie Lange turned the show on its ass and created train wreck TV
just re-enforced the idea that favre ripped us off. not that we should have known from his post game comments about the jets the last time we spanked his ass in greenbay. its our fault though. but that’s the past. It costs time and money to go to school so hopefully we learned something and never do that again.
Looking at how the Jets size up against the Bills in 2009:

Love Artie Lange and don’t care much for Joe Buck, but think he went too far. Sometimes shock jocks ain’t funny.
According to our own Dave Hutchinson, the Jets have cooled on signing Plax and are prepared to give it a go with what they have. David Clowney, Brad Smith, Chansi Stuckey and Wallace Wright are the top guys on the roster behind Jerricho Cotchery. There is some potential with these players, but will any defensive coordinator lose sleep over these guys?
I think not.
Adding Plaxico would give the Jets a weapon on offense that both the Pats and Bills already have in place. Randy Moss in New England and Terrell Owens in Buffalo are big pieces to that team’s roster.
Why not add Burress to ours?
HAS to happen!
While I want to give the young guys a shot (Clowney and Stuckey are promising, Brad Smith….could surprise me but I don’t really expect it) and see what they can bring to the field…..we need a #1 receiver, preferably Plax. As much as I hate to bring the Giants up on a Jets website, it was somewhat amazing to see what the Gmens offense looked like after his loss. Their running game was no where near as potent as it was without him. And our run game is going to make or break us this season.
On another subject Donte Stallworth got 30 days in jail for killing a man while drunk driving. What a JOKE!!!!! Michael Vick should be seething after seeing this. Kill a dog=1 year Kill a man =30 days(actually just 24 days to serve in FLORIDA). How does this happen?
He paid off the victim’s family so they would be fine with a plea rather than it going to trial. It is ridiculous.
james….weird circumstances with stallworth. yes he was over the limit, but from the evidence that was leaked out….looks like the guy he hit was running for a bus, wasnt in a crosswalk…in other words, he was also the cause of the accident. yes being over the limit at 7am is a joke…. but from what i heard, the prosecution in the case would have had a hard time proving stallworth was 100% responsible for the accident, or even mostly responsible. its still a joke he is serving 24 days, plus 2 years house arrest or something like that….and also heard he reached a financial settlement with the family of the guy he hit (civil case would have followed the criminal case)…
its ugly on many levels…. but it also looks like it was bad judgement on both peoples parts…. from the info i have heard anyway…
thanks for the info, still can’t believe it.
