Broncos Want to Know How Spicy You’d Like Your Chang Sauce
The Broncos Front office are doing their best Towelie, impression, basically saying in that falsetto voice, “I have no idea what’s goin’ on.”
Fox31 in Denver broke the news yesterday that Denver was granting their WR his trade request via Marshall’s agent, but when the Denver Post asked the team about the situation, they were more than willing to relay their own version of the truth.
“We met after Pat’s meeting with Brandon and are going to continue our dialogue with Brandon and his representative,” said Broncos coach Josh McDaniels. “We look forward to having Brandon at training camp.”
Marshall and his agent, Kennard McGuire, have taken the offensive. McGuire told Fox 31 News that “there was a request for a trade. Mr. Bowlen has said that ownership will do everything in its power to accommodate his wishes.”
However, there is no indication the Broncos will seek to deal Marshall, who is unhappy with his contract that will pay him $2.198 million this season, the final year of his deal.
Here we go again …
I don’t know what’s going on in Denver, but this is now the second time they’re letting one of their star players dictate terms to the media, and making ownership look bad. Not only look bad, actually look incompetent. Again, as a talent Brandon Marshall would be an amazing acquisition for the Jets. As a person, Marshall clearly has some growing up to do. As far as their chances of actually getting him, I’d say they’re no better than 1-20.

This guy has gotten arrested every six months for the last five years. He’s going to court for a battery charge sometime in November. His right arm has nerve damage and his hip requires him to wear a LifeCall pendant around his neck. Looks like a basket case to me.
Don’t we have enough guys unhappy with their contracts?
It might seem unfair, sometimes, the way we handle players unhappy with contracts but at least this sh** doesn’t happen to us.
When you go to the Beach..don’t forget to bring a towel!
Plax was/is intriguing option if he could be had on the cheap, meaning no draft picks, no outrageous contract, and a short-term rental if things didn’t work.
Marshall trade to NY shouldn’t happen and it won’t.
Not sure if this guy would be a good fit. If we look past his off field issues (2 girl friend beating charges), there are some big questions that need to be addressed.
1 – Didn’t he have hip surgery last year?
Can he compete at the level he was at before?
2 – Didn’t he drop 18 perfect passes in the red zone last season? He blamed those drops on nerve damage for punching a TV screen with his brother.
Can he catch the ball or does he have 1 good had and one stone hand?
3 – If Denver was willing to cut him, what would be the cost the Jets would have to pay?
The big issue is, he is a good player but would cost too much ($ and picks) with a pending suspension, and causes distractions.
Plax is also a good player who comes very cheep ($ and no picks), but has a pending suspension and causes distractions.
I say lets look at Matt Jones who is a good player (not as good as Marshall or Plax), but comes cheep ($ and no picks), with no pending suspensions and doesn’t cause any distractions.
At this point in time the Jets are not going to the Super Bowl with questions in regards to QB and WR. Yeah Sanchez will eventually provide answers at QB, but the team still needs a big target that can catch the dam ball!
If the Jets are true to their word, and are looking to run the ball more then 50% of the time then they do not need a 5 star WR this year! It’s a no brain’er either stick with what you got or sign a decent WR now, and address a home run hitter at WR next year in the draft.
Towelie? More like Tool-y.

oOOH Mann you guys are not serious, Josh McDanials is From the Patriots and like with Jay Cutler the jets have zero chance.
No thank you. He has had multiple off the field issues, he beats women, and may not be 100% healthy.
Plus he would cost a lot more than Plax. At least Plax doesn’t have a pattern of off the field problems.
