Enjoy Orlando

Remember this guy? The guy Bent once described his playing style as looking like Scott Bakula just Quantum Leaped into his body mid-snap? Well, it looks like he was just drafted fifth overall to be the QB for the new UFL team in Orlando.

  1. Well, I already know what team I’m going to be rooting against

  2. we should have made bollinger a running back. he was way better at running than throwing.

An open letter to Brian Schottenheimer telling him to get Leon Washington the ball more…the numbers dont lie

  4. Brooks!!!!

Come on now, this poor kid (a 3rd stringer) was thrust into starting for the team after Chad and Quincy went down, not to mention the kid had to play behind a crap line. There was no way Brooks could succeed.

For a kid that was not ready to play he had some good/lucky passes but like BigKatFan said he was always running….Running for his life – LOL

  5. Wow a top 5 pick, he must be delighted.

Where are all the players for the UFL coming from?

  6. Brooks was a classy guy when I met him at some of the summer workouts a few years ago. That year, I told him, “I like ya Brooks, but I don’t want to have to see you play.”

He said, “Yeah, well I know what you mean.”

Pennington and Fiedler went down and the rest was history.

  7. Yea, I believe we were talking about this on my forum.

  8. what’s UFL anyway?

  9. scraping the bottom of the barrel are we. what Giovanni Carmazzi wasn’t available.

  10. He netted us CJ Mosley and a 7th round pick in 2008. He wasn’t a complete waste.

  11. Didn’t Jermane Wiggis play for the Jets as well. Is it me or do we usually get left off lists like that? Ie he played for this team this team and that team….

  12. Ohhh, boy…

  13. I was wondering when someone was going to say “Ohhh boy.”

I felt bad for Bollinger. He did look overmatched but he also had a crap line to play behind.

  14. We drafted Bollinger in the sixth round in 2003, played three years for the Jets, shipped him to the Vikings for CJ Mosely the DT and a 7th round pick, stayed with Childress for two years got cut, Dallas picked him up, lasted another year, until the boys found out he couldn’t play,, I guy with very little talent, just worked hard, paid the minimum, kept at it, enough of a career to qualify for an NFL pension. Great story , now he turns the page

  15. We can mock Brooks all we want but the fact is he was a below average college Qb that I was shocked even got drafted. He carved out a pretty decent career and always found himself in game action.

Not a bad deal for an undersized kid with no accuracy or arm.

  16. Brooks played hard for us, which is more than you can say about a lot of guys with a lot more ability than he had over the years. Let’s remember him well for it.
