Brooks played hard for us, which is more than you can say about a lot of guys with a lot more ability than he had over the years. Let’s remember him well for it.

We can mock Brooks all we want but the fact is he was a below average college Qb that I was shocked even got drafted. He carved out a pretty decent career and always found himself in game action.

Not a bad deal for an undersized kid with no accuracy or arm.

We drafted Bollinger in the sixth round in 2003, played three years for the Jets, shipped him to the Vikings for CJ Mosely the DT and a 7th round pick, stayed with Childress for two years got cut, Dallas picked him up, lasted another year, until the boys found out he couldn’t play,, I guy with very little talent, just worked hard, paid the minimum, kept at it, enough of a career to qualify for an NFL pension. Great story , now he turns the page

I felt bad for Bollinger. He did look overmatched but he also had a crap line to play behind.

Didn’t Jermane Wiggis play for the Jets as well. Is it me or do we usually get left off lists like that? Ie he played for this team this team and that team….

He netted us CJ Mosley and a 7th round pick in 2008. He wasn’t a complete waste.
