This Week in Tweet: Inaugural Edition
We know, if you hear the word Twitter one more time you’re going to freak. So are we, trust us.
Still, the power of a well placed tweet can’t be beat. We love the Jets, and if you’re on this site, you probably do too. To that end, Twitter is allowing us fans unprecedented visibility into players daily lives. So, we’re going to try a new feature on the blog, with the help of our friend, Jets season ticketholder and all around Twitter maven @e_man, we’re going to bring you the best tweets we can find on or around the Jets each week.
- [@DUSTINKELLER81] Dustin Keller proves you CAN fight City Hall by getting his ticket thrown out from a Morristown NJ Courthouse. He was going to post a pic of him fist pumping the ruling but decided against it.
- [@woodyjohnson4] Woody’s twitter stream has been slow to flow, but here is a tweet telling fans they would be getting a message from Rex. Here is that message.
- [@Mark_Sanchez] Mark Sanchez was hanging at a camp having a good time at the Devlin Camp run by Assistant Jets Coaches.
- [@DavidClowney] The WR doesn’t like driving in heavy rainstorms, I guess it would be even scarier if Twittering while driving through a rainstorm.
- [@JayFeely] You know… Jay has a REALLY good point about Dogs and People.
- [fashionably_cp] D’Brick and @KerryRhodes were at an event called ‘Father Knows Best’ in Manhattan with Allan Houston in honor of fathers at the ESPN Zone.
- [@Kerry_Rhodes] Someone lost a thumb, yuck! Thank God it’s not Kerry, but didn’t Ronnie Lott play great with one less digit?
- [@DavidClowney] Apparently Clowney doesn’t wait in many lines for clubs, judging by his reaction to his experience this morning with TSA.
Send us your favorite Jets related tweets on Twitter or at thejetsblog@gmail.com. You can follow e_man orthejetsblog to keep up with the latest in between weekly TWIT posts.

Bassett – this is great. These tweets are getting out of control, and a summary is a great idea.
Hate to be a downer and this is a phenomenal blog, but I am not a huge fan of it jumping on the bizarre twitter bandwagon
Twitter this, Arron Glenn is a free agent and the jets should let him retire as a Jet. sign the man.
Actually Zartan, that would fit into a twitter post (less than 140 characters)
OldSchool, Thanks for the kind words, and I hear ya man, but we gots to keep up with the kids. TJB is always going to be the “Cheesecake Factory mentality” … something for everyone but not everything for everyone … now get off my lawn! :P
ED – Thanks for the encouragement.
I’m not a fan of this whole twitter stuff either, but I can agree that having an easy to read “menu” of Tweets makes sense. I just feel like an a$$hole when I use words like Twitter and Tweet within my everyday language.
What’s next? Grunty and Wankel?
…if I get my hands on the neck of the twit that thought of the word ‘Twitter’…so help me, Rex Ryan !
I’m getting more and more into Twitter because of sports. I started really appreciating it on Draft Day and have become more attached with each journo (Jane, Glauber), on-air talent (Eisen, Mort), player (and our owner), NFL big-shot (commish, Aiello), website (Deadspin, PFT, Rotoworld), etc. who have joined.
As much as I dig the candor and humor, Clowney may be a tad too forthcoming. Can see him getting himself jammed-up eventually.
