Daily Links: This Weather Sucks Edition
So when does it actually become Summer?
- Mark Sanchez a viable fantasy contributor? Doesn’t he have to win the real job first?
- Interesting read on the Giants’ deal with Timex. Needless to say, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for the Jets to follow suit.
- Another broke NFL player: Bernie Kosar filed for Chapter 11. Why is it every “athlete gone broke” story centers around real estate?
- The Ryan Leaf saga drags on… the former No. 2 pick turned himself in to Texas authorities.
- Laveranues Coles is happy to be Cincy and it sounds like No. 85 and No. 9 are happy to have him.
- Was marijuana involved in the horrific Donte Stallworth accident?

Officially? 48 hours before the Houston game kickoff, I’m afraid…

From the SportsBizBlog this links to:
“Timex is trying to shed the image of cheap but durable and move into the performance category that will allow it to expand margins.”Who, exactly, is using whom?
Umm, I thought this deal meant that the Giants were now “cheap but durable.”
Did anyone on the Jints think this one through?

Ooops, I always get thrown by these digest posts…
My first comment was meant to align with the original question:
“So when does it actually become Summer?”But, I missed. Sorry.

Good story on Cincy. LC should be a great fit there, being a #2 instead of “the guy.” Much less pressure, so he can just do his thing, and let 85 carry the load. Plus, he got his money. AND he now has a small press corps without much in the way of cojones, so he can dictate locker room terms. What’s not to like?

You want summer – come to the UK! The weather’s fine over here.
