Posted on June 23rd, 2009 by Bassett
- Safety Eric Smith had a good spring and should be recovered from his hamstring injury by training camp.
- Lombardi at NFP wrote over the weekend that he thinks that Goodell will come down hard on Burress regardless.
- Theismann and Marcus Allen think Mike Vick joining the Patriots makes sense.
- Jane McManus is back from her break and sums up what happened / didn’t happen on her time off.
- VOTE for your AFC East all-decade squad.
- Do the Bills have a formidible running game now?
- Pats Pulpit makes the classic mistake of calling Herman Edwards “intelligent football people” in his anti-Spygate argument.

if someone could post this on that pats website, that would be great. thanks.
“hahaha wow, oh please. Regardless if other fans say you cheated or not, or even if they exaggerated this to the extent of the worlds end, or even if you choose to insult them back (I know, he said it first), the greatest coach in the NFL and maybe of all time CHEATED. No if, ands or buts about it. He’s a great coach, no doubt about it, but in basketball, if you win by 5, but the ref chose to give you an extra two points in the middle of the game, you still would have won anyway, right?”
If the depth guys are getting excited about this D and starting to swagger, then I’m officially getting excited about this D.
I love the Bills’ fans’ optimism. They lose their best OL (Peters) and are starting 2 rookies. Yet, this clown thinks they have the best balanced run/pass offense in the AFC East?!? As much as I’m a Jets fan, even I have to concede that the Pats will have the best offense, by far. IMO, the 3 other teams are playing for second place, with the Jets likely to be no. 2. It’s unlikely that the Bills will go 0-6 in the AFC East, again; but, the Jets and Dolphins improved their defenses and the Pats get Brady back. The Bills were in the biggest hole and, IMO, besides getting TO, I don’t see much improvement and that OL will be very suspect.
Maybe Lombardi thinks they will send Plax to the same jail the Jets cap situation was in! ~ZING~
