A 4.53 forty isnt bad at all for a man who is 6′6 230. I like this move he sounds like an athletic kid and with some coaching may turn into someone who can contribute.

Isn’t Urutia from higher draft stock than Henry the same year. At least projection-wise. He was projected in like the 4th or 5th I think. I think he’s a step up from the big WRs in the group in terms of potential.

“Looks to me more like a move to pressure the other two big guys at receiver to possibly step it up.” My initial thought was that maybe it is Clowney who’s under the gun as the deep threat, although I’d talked myself out of that before I committed myself to it in the original post.

“Remember how good Reggie Newhouse was?” Yup, and several others. It seems like our 6th WR (sorry, but I still see Wallace as ST1 not WR6) is the toughest cut every year and never amounts to anything (not in the NFL, anyway). At least it makes the annual roster contest (which I would have won last year, had I not been ineligible) more of a challenge!

Remember how disappointing Larry Fitz 40-time was? Well as long as he can get seperation on the field, that is all that matters.

Looks to me more like a move to pressure the other two big guys at receiver to possibly step it up.

Also isn’t it every training camp that a wide receiver is “impressing” and then ends up doing nothing for us the upcoming season? Remember how good Reggie Newhouse was? I still remember Lucas raving about the potential in this kid, oh really? Where is he now???

Not a bad guy to take a flyer on. At over 6-5, he’s a match up nightmare and it sounds like he has the ability, but needs to work harder. With the Jets no.2 WR spot wide open, this could be Urrutia’s shot to make it in the NFL. In some ways this guy sounds just like Burress, who had his draft stock plummet with a disappointing 40-time (4.6) and questions about his attitude.

Maybe they’re using him as a Plax-type guy to see whether the QBs respond well to having a weapon like that and then that can factor into their decision making process on whether to go for him later.
