Breaking: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Terrible news today in that former NFL QB Steve McNair was found shot dead, suffering a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville, according to a report by NewsChannel5.com.
The report cited police as saying that the body of a female was found and that it appeared to be a double homicide. McNair played 11 of his 13 seasons with the Titans/Oilers franchise, before his final two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, retiring in 2007.
Our hearts go out to the McNair family, and the family of the the other victim of this senseless crime.

Wow. I can’t believe this. He was really one of the great ones. Hearing this has really screwed up my day. Man, a lot of NFL players getting shot down lately. Most of them don’t have that bodyguard kind of revenue. It makes you feel more sympathetic for guys like Plax. But all that aside, my heart goes out to these 2.

When I saw this on Yahoo, I couldn’t believe what I was reading, my prayers go to the McNair family.
Even in the wake of all the recent celebrity deaths, this seems to me like the hardest one to believe. I always thought he was truly a class act , a great competitor and gave us one of the most memorable Super Bowls of all time. My heart and prayers go out to him, his family and the family of the woman that was with him. I hope and pray that they catch whoever is responsible.
RIP I wouldn’t be this sad if he would passed away naturally but the fact the he was murdered makes it worse.

how could this be it’s unreal i am so sad, my prayers are with the families and freinds GOD BLESS THEM.
this is a damn shame. these guys r too young to b getting themselves dead. hope that it had othing to do with drugs or gangs. to many sports guys getting into trouble like that. six deaths in two weeks. is the world comin to an end(as my niece says). my prayers go out to the family. keep your heads high.
Shocking, he played hurt and with heart. He will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.
I lived in Nashville for 3 1/2 years and followed the Titans, because I was there. Obviously was Always a Jets fan and never really pulled for the Titans, but did follow them. McNair had some tremendous seasons and this is such a shame.
still in shock, i remember i just got done eating my 4th of july lunch jumped onto the lap-top and went to rotoworld as i usually do to see if my knicks signed anybody yet and i see this headline, i couldnt speak for 30 seconds. He didnt seem like a guy that would get involved with drugs and stuff like that, it was most likely just a double homicide. I was looking forward to him one day joining one of the football channels as an NFL analyst or something truely a big loss, RIP Steve Mcnair

According to the drudgereport authorities are not actively pursuing suspects because McNair was riddled with bullets and she had one single wound to the head with the gun lying beside her. The police are suspecting murder-suicide but autopsy reports should be available today.
Have they said why he was in a condo with a 20 year old waitress, while his wife was at home? Or why the girl was driving an escalade that was in her and steves name?
according to her ex boyfriend, McNair and the girl met at a Dave and Busters and had been dating for a couple of months. Numerous witnesses had seen him coming and going from the condo for some time.
