Gholston should be a situational pass rusher next season, just like he should have been last year. Therefore, whether Pace is there or not should have little impact as far as I am concerned.

As for Florio's article, I fail to find it so insightful. He writes more negatively about the Jets these days than Cimini used to before he got a blog and realized how much it made everyone dislike him.

For a guy who claims to understand the cap, I can't believe Florio is suggesting that getting rid of Coles and Favre could prove to be a mistake, when they had little choice in either case. (He also has takes a cheap shot regarding releasing Pennington, also a necessary move for cap reasons once the decision to trade for Favre was made.) And how is Pace's indiscretion Tannenbaum's fault?

Tannenbaum's job may well be on the line and I am nowhere near as sold on him as a good GM as the majority of TJB readers appear to be. We already know Woody's patience is not his greatest virtue, so maybe his job is in jeopardy, but this article had an unnecessarily negative tilt to it.

I don't know about Gholston replacing Pace. I have a feeling we may see more of Gholston with his hand on the turf at DE on passing downs. Playing in space doesn't seem to be his strength.

I think very little of Mike Florio. So it pains me to admit that he has written an insightful article about our team.

I think, very surprisingly, that it is fair and insightful -- two things I do not associate with PFT's bottom dweller.

If things don't pan out for us and do for the Vikes, Jills and Fish, Woddy will be hard pressed to bend over for another year.
