Bent totally agree on your VG comments.
Btw, John Abraham asking for a new deal??? Are you kidding me?? He finally stayed on the field for a full year and wants to be paid as a top player at his position. I watched him closely when he left the Jets (except for this year) every time I looked he was hurt and sitting on the bench. Sound familiar.

Abraham is a jerk ….. he always wanted more money. No doubt the guy is talented but all those fake injuries might keep him from getting his money.
Hope VG can contribute….. I agree situational is perfect. I don’t care if other teams know he is coming just let him run straight at the QB…we need something from this guy.
He is too small to play at DE ? I think he is soo much more comfortable there. Besides if we stunt and do things with the line he might not need any moves…just speed.

Perhaps Keyshawn would team up well with Pennington. Ty, that is.
Good to see some positive stuff on VG (in the Schrager article):
“…there’s actually some quiet buzz about the progress the second-year man out of Ohio State has made over the past six months…Gholston has immersed himself into the film room, learning, living and breathing Rex Ryan’s complex 3-4 defense. With the recent four-game suspension of Jets linebacker Calvin Pace, Gholston will be forced to step in and deliver right away. Based on his performance this spring, there’s confidence in New York that he can.”
I still don’t buy that he’ll be “forced to step in and deliver right away” though. People will be saying “He couldn’t even get in the starting line-up when Pace was suspended” but that shouldn’t be the plan. Use him situationally. Pace’s availability shouldn’t have any effect.
