NJ Governor Jon Corzine, Woody Johnson and John Mara will take the new rail link to the Meadowlands at 2PM.
New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine and other big wigs will be trying out the new rail line from Hoboken to the Meadowlands this afternoon.
The train line doesn’t open to the public until next weekend, Sunday, July 26 — in time for the CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer title match at Giants Stadium — but Corzine will board the train today at 2 p.m. from Hoboken terminal. Hoboken Now will be on board as well — check in later for photos from the ride! Corzine will be joined by Jets owner Robert Wood Johnson IV, and NY Giants owner John K. Mara.
Glad to hear that this is finally operational. I think providing a rail link will be a much better option to get folks from all over to the stadium.

Does anyone know if you can take it from long island straight there?

Another sad day in Jets history.

you can take lirr to penn, penn to secaucus junction, and that to stadium.

So I take the train from Long Island to Penn. Then I take another train to Hoboken to get on another train? How dumb is that? I know, as dumb as last year when they cancelled the buses from NYC. Then you did the same thing, but you got off the train at Hoboken to get on a bus! Pure genius! And to top it all off, you can’t park at the Hoboken Train. Yes its true, it was described to me as a “Hub” is that NJ train speak for “jughandle.”

How much are the PSLs for those seats?

The only thing Hoboken is convenient to is, um, Hoboken.

months ago, when i called to request a season ticket seat upgrade, i was quickly dismissed for being too early. call back at a later, unspecified date.
and now when i call back, i was rudely informed that i was too late. no apologies from them for their not taking care of existing ticket holders before wait-listers.
we live in dc and have skins tix, too (disclaimer: my wife is a fan), and for all the skins’ flaws, i recently got a nice email offering me an upgrade and was able to go from 400s to 200s after just one season.

it’s about time they did this.
