Myers exclaims that ” Snachez will ‘BEAT’ out Clemens for the starting QB job”. This implies that there will be competiton (as per Ryan) and that Sanchez will perform better.

Then Myers goes on to say: ” The only way Sanchez isn’t the starter on day one is if he totally stinks it up in camp.” This shows a pre-determination to pick a player.

This is why the bias, tilting media is a disgrace to the reader or fan that is looking for honest reporting. They are there to misrepresent their own feelings as “facts”and to create conflict.

My opinion on that top 5 second guesses:

5 – Vilma trade. I’ll agree since I’m a big Vilma fan and feel he should have gotten a better chance although theres no doubt Harris is better in the 3-4.

4 – Pete Kendall fiasco was dumb but here we are shortly after and the guy is currently unemployed…it’s pretty obvious he didn’t deserve an extra million now but we should have gotten a replacement before cutting him.

3 – Justin McCariens trade. We all make mistakes, but the arguing point is TO might have been had for a second rounder….I don’t think Chad – TO would have worked at all given his past history with blaming quarterbacks. I respect TO’s talent but I value team chemistry even more.

2 – 2002 Thomas over Reed. I personally like Kerry Rhodes, we got him at a steal. If Reed had to deal with the same thing Rhodes has in NY thus far I don’t think he would have done much better. I think the key thing is that the article states we could have Reed and Rhodes lining up together…but my arguement is I doubt we draft Rhodes in 04 had we gotten Reed in 02.

1 – Not getting Randy Moss. If we could have done it, we should have BUT if the Tom Brady Super Bowl winning Patriots made any sort of offer I think we had no chance of getting him. Also Moss gave up in Oakland, theres nothing to say that the 2007 season would have had him giving up on the Jets. Yeah Chad can get it 40 yards down but not with that O-Line he wouldn’t have.

All in all, I would have agreed with every second guess when it orginally happened, but things havent turned out that bad. I’m thinking the Vilma trade won’t bother me if Scott-Harris combo turns out to be as beastly as it seems it will be.

I am surprised that the Omar Minaya Show, how to look stupid and still keep your job, didn’t make he list.

How tall is Huey Whittaker? Some websites say 6’2″ and some say 6’5″.

Whittaker is 6’2″ [according to the Jets official website] so I would lean towards that height.
