Bart Scott spoke to the media today … here’s some of what he had to say …
On the first practice…
I think you saw guys knocking the rust off, being the first day with pads on. We’re trying to figure out how the practice is going to go, the tempo. I think for the first day it was pretty good fighting through the elements. They don’t cancel football because of rain. It’s just one more thing that will help you get mentally prepared. You are always going to get curveballs when you are playing football.
On making the defense successful…
In order to make this defense successful we have to make it ours. It can’t be one individual player, we have to take ownership of it and take pride in it. Collectively, there’s a greater goal out there for us. We can get our individual goals and we can achieve all of those things, but if we do them collectively then the better we will be as a unit.
On what fans will see from Bart Scott…
They are going to see a tireless worker that will fight for anything. I think they will be able to sense that. They will see me working (because) that’s all I know how to do.

I know its the 1st day but already there was a report that Gholston had a quiet day and that was with the 2nd team since Pace can still practice???? Mannnnnnnnnn BUST CITY
