As Bassett did earlier this week, I came across a story that is just too good to be cut into by me. Our friend, Manish Mehta from The Star-Ledger documents the unusual path Mike Pettine Jr. has taken from high school quarterback to the Jets’ defensive coordinator.
It’s a tremendous story and a great read and just goes to show there’s no one way to get where you want to be. Please check it out.

Didnt ESPN run a show based off of his dad’s high school team a few years back called the Season??
I remember seeing Mike and his dad breaking down film on a rival HS team
